Call of Duty (Cold War) beginner tutorial - Level up your guns, loadouts

in Hive Gaming2 years ago

You might ask.. Eddie how come you have never played this game that came out nearly 20 years ago? Well the fact is this game came out when I was in university. In 2003, I was in my third year at university and the subjects were crazy hard. I can't remember most of the content except I had to do a lot of 3D modelling and some third year university level mathematics, which I just passed. It was at a very different level to high school maths. Also it was very difficult because Youtube hadn't been invented back then so I couldn't find a tutor online to teach me like you guys can.

20 years later, now that I've been a teacher for 17 years and made enough money, I finally have time to relax and play some games. This game has some of the best graphics I have ever seen. The multiplayer is also really cool because it's cooperative and you can talk to everyone that is in your party, which makes it a lot more interesting than playing a game alone.

This game is quite complicated. Even just the size of it (around 250GB) is crazy. A quarter of my Xbox series X hard drive disappeared just from installing this game. One of my teacher friends got me to install it and guided me through some multiplayer games. One of the first things he got me to do is to level up my guns. The first thing I said after I started using my gun was that hey, usually in these first person shooter games (e.g. Quake 2 / 3 which is my favourite) there is a crosshair so you know exactly where to aim your gun, but in this game there isn't. He said yes that's why we're leveling up the gun so you can get a scope as an upgrade.

So then we worked on levelling up my guns. The only way to do that is to use the gun as often as possible, and to use the same gun all the time. So we picked a good beginner gun (e.g. XM4) and just kept using it. I will talk about what guns to use in the next video. But basically once you level it up, you can unlock some attachments for your gun, such as optic, muzzle, barrel, magazine etc. Pick what improves your accuracy the most, as that is what you'll need to eventually eliminate your opponent.

After I've had more experience in this game I'll make another video! Until then, enjoy gaming!

As in San Andreas, the more you use a weapon, the more agile the character becomes with it.

Wow this is so interesting 😄😄

thanks :)

Adjusting the overrewards.

@acidyo what's going on buddy? you asked me why I don't post in communities, and I posted in a community for you... I would prefer to have no downvotes on my articles - it is very bad for my reputation.

It doesn't affect your reputation, you're still in net positive gain and ocdb's rep number isn't that high. It was quite overrewarded due to rancho's blind votes like usual, has nothing to do with you posting into communities.

thanks for the quick reply. I don't care about the numerical reputation, I care about the shame when people see me get downvoted. "magic monk" is a name people google on the internet and these articles pop up in search results. I think this answers your question why I don't post in communities, every time I post in one I get downvoted. I do NOT want downvotes.

Downvotes are a part of the platform similar to upvotes, there is no shame in receiving them. Readers could see the comment placed and understand as well. It also has nothing to do with the community you're posting into, you've received a downvote another time in the past and that wasn't in a community.

The main benefit to post into communities is that maybe more readers interested in the genre you post about see you, follow you and start interacting in your posts.

I'm not interested in arguing back and forth acid. This will be my final post on this. People with a name to protect will not be interested in posting on hive to receive downvotes. I don't care about the "net positive gain" if there is a downvote. I did nothing wrong but somehow there is a downvote from the most powerful author on the platform. You guys will need to sort this system out at the top - you are driving people away.

You seem to have a weird view on this, which is sad considering how long you've been here. This is how Hive works, you have upvote mana and downvote mana, use both wisely and well to protect the reward pool so deserving posts get the right rewards. You can't be okay with getting blind 90+ votes by 2 accounts but not be okay with another account adjusting it down a little to give you a fair reward. If this drives people away then we probably wouldn't want those people to be here in the first place.

It's one thing if haejin/rancho decide to vote on a new account and the post is of high quality and effort to deserve the rewards, another if they vote on lower effort posts that take them to trending - much worse look for hive than any downvote on those posts could.

This didn't work for me, only found your youtube channel probably cause I've checked it out in the past, but no hive articles.
