After having defeated the first boss I continue my run through Hellpoint. In this episode we unlock the hub area where we can upgrade and modify our gear in different ways. It also features some options to alter the world to make it harder but at the same time more rewarding. Pretty cool.

I'm definitely liking this game better the more I play it. It's the similarities that it had to Dark Souls that gets to me the most. The weakest thing about the game so far has to be the bossss. They look cool and has some pretty cool attacks but they're not really that hard. Learning their move sets are trivial at best and as long as you don't get stressed they're quite easy. Out of the two bosses I've encountered so far they haven't cost me any deaths yet.

I'm not really a big fan of the whole ghost mechanic either. Those who watched the last episode will remember the green ghost man, which is a copy of myself, that spawned when I died. He will patrol the area where you died and attack you on sight alongside all the other enemies that are there. While I think that you should get punished for dying i don't think this is the right way. Adding another relatively hard enemy to the encounter that just killed you can be a big hindrance. You're gonna have to fight this really tough enemy that killed you AND yourself at the same time. I can see this being a wall for many players.

I also like how you have a sort of completion counter in the game. As we encounter new enemies, open up new areas and find lore objects there's a counter going up counting how many percent of information we've unlocked. I've always been a fan of games adding completion counters to games so that's pretty cool.

There's also a fair amount of secrets and hidden items scattered throughout the world so that you really feel rewarded for exploring. For instance by going a little ways off the beaten path I found an item that greatly increased my health which is really helpful.

I think I've managed to fix the audio problems now. There should be a better balance between the voice and in-game audio now. As always any kind of consctructive feedback is very welcome. Be harsh if you have to!

The game is great fun but I hope we encounter some tougher enemies soon. Enjoy the episode!

Just finished watching the video, threespeak was slow today and my internet wasn't helping. You took a pretty good beating at the beginning man, that... Boss? reminds me a lot of the Giant Lord from Dark Souls. The thing about adding a copy of you as an enemy every time you die I think that's a good topic I saw a while ago, either you're very for or very against it but it's something interesting that I think they should put it as a factor to choose from and not assume it directly.

However, the game despite being very very similar to DS I'm liking it quite a bit, I wish I could play it but my PC sucks so I'll follow the story by the videos. Good video man, definitely the audio improved quite a bit.

The guys who killed me in the beginning were just regular enemies. I had a lot of trouble reading their attack patterns. They remind me a bit of the silver/black knights from Dark Souls which are enemies I've always had a lot of trouble with.

Thanks for watching man! Really appreciate that a lot. I'm glad the audio was good.

man there are a bunch of games out there huh...

never heard of this one and it seems awesome, i confess i laughed hard when you got 1 hit in the beggining of the video by that small green guy. whats up with monsters being so strong now days.

another game i will list and wait for a great oportunity to get.

ill def need a controller to play this lol

It's a shame you missed my first episode post about it because it was free back then. GOG was giving it away.

I never mind dying in these games. It's just a lesson to learn from more than anything else.

It's definitely a game for controllers. I use a PS4 controller.

Se ve asombroso el juego sirve para teléfonos?

Hello. Glad you liked it. It appears that it’s only out for pc and consoles at the moment.

Saludos amigo si me gustó el juego se veía genial y con sus gráficos Como del 2018👍🏻

Definitely this game has similarity to Dark Soul in terms of appearance, but if the bosses are not difficult as you mentioned, then there it stops looking like. I think this style of Soul Like games will gain more strength in the future, especially when you see the evaluation of its users on the web.

In all souls-like games I’ve played it’s always the bosses and the difficulty balance that end up as the weakest points. Was the same in Star Wars: Fallen Order. Awesome game but the bosses were easy and boring.

Friends have told me the same about Fallen Order, which will disappoint me because it is very easy, and that is why you can finish it very quickly, however I keep it on my pending list to play.

It's still worth it! But maybe get it on a sale. It's the balance that's lacking. On the hardest difficulty it's stupid because the weakest enemies one shot you and are total savages. On the next highest difficulty they're to easy. Wish it had a middle ground.
