"Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality"
Today, my younger brother, who is an indie gamemaker ( and started a company called Vlambeer 10 years ago, at the age of 19 ), reached out to me.
He sent me a link followed up by these words, roughly translated from Dutch:
A mega mountain of games for $5 and you will support black lives matter.
to which he added:
Night in the Woods is included too
I talked with him about this game recently.
To which I replied:
Cool!
Will pass it on to friends.
I checked out the link and found out that it includes the insane amount of 743 - seven hundred fourty three ! - games ( but then again we're living in insane times anyway so nothing surprises me anymore )
My li'l bro ( who - I must confess - is actually not little at all. He's an inch taller than me and I'm 6 foot 1 ) told me that you can choose which game you want to play and then install that one only, as I started worrying about the size of my hard drive and the available disk space.
And he then told me this:
Minit is in there too
For those of you who didn't know ( probably most of you who read this ), Minit is a game made by my brother, his girlfriend and two of their friends. It was released in 2018
Now I think of it, I blogged about it over two years ago, I believe it was in April 2018.
Let's see if I can still find that post...

Anyhow, this post wasn't supposed to be about my brother but I'm proud of him and it's pretty cool that one of his games is included in this amazing bundle.

WHATTTTT I was just looking at a video that mentioned MINIT a few hours ago!!! That's your brother!? Amazing! Sounds like such a cool concept for a game! He's quite a creative as well.

Yeah! Jan Willem Nijman is my brother and he's extremely creative. Started making games age 11/12, about to be 30 in December. I guess he made the 10000 hour mark ;>)

That's quite a few games O_O I'll let my children know, though oldest has yet to sort his bank card out (guess that's another thing we're doing this week, I can't believe that not only has he lost it in the house it still hasn't turned up).
Just so you know... Not all games are for all ages.
Also the quality is very diverse as it seems like anyone could enter their game for the good cause. There seems to be a bunch of gems in there though and many of them usually cost more ( individually ) than the minimum price for the entire package, so it's a bargain.
I hope you can find that bank card and if not, it's another sign to invest in crypto ;>)

Sweet have fun :D Definitely plan to play that one and the mortician's tale. The white door is by Rusty Lake developers, love all their other games and looking forward to that one. I played Gnog on epic store, fun simple puzzle game. And hidden folk is great, chill (there is night mode option).
Definitely going to play Celeste, it's an award winning game I think.
I still haven't finished seeing the whole list xD
Thanks for the suggestions, background info. I just found out the list of games in this bundle has more than doubled since I wrote this post. Insanity in insane times haha!
