"Gardening is an exercise in optimism. Sometimes, it is a triumph of hope over experience." - Marina Schinz

A wonderful greeting to all the beautiful people in the Hive! At the most wonderful time of the year, I hope you all are fine, happy, and blessed. Today, my blog is an entry for the Hive Garden community's last garden challenge before 2022 ends.

In my previous garden blogs, I wrote about my school garden. This time I will be flexing what's going on with my small garden at home😂. Honestly, after the unusual garden incident that I shared with you on the comment challenge three weeks ago(where my little son cut off everything in my garden), I got disappointed and did not mind so much about it. I have been very busy too with school-related work so I was not able to give enough time to it.

After attending to my laundry last weekend, I got a chance to take a good look at my small garden at home. I felt sad about it.

Then I remembered from past experiences that gardening is indeed an exercise in optimism so I decided to start all over again with the hope and positivity in my heart to make it better and to grow my garden back alive. I know it would be hard, but I had to start somewhere, right?

IMG20221203094638.jpg

I started with changing pots and soil...

IMG20221203104235.jpg

And saved some plants for replanting (I have saved some of my lemon grass).

Looks like I need more soil and organic fertilizers...

It's been a tiring day so I decided to continue all the work the next day.

I sacrificed my rest day to continue reviving my small garden at home. I started early before the heat of the sun reaches its peak temperature.

I took a break for a while. I've been sweating a lot. Cultivating the soil is certainly not a joke. It requires a lot of hard work, literally 😅.

Well, while resting I took the chance to clean the lemongrass I saved the other day (don't want to waste time, there are still so many things to be done.)

After which, I set it to be planted in the area I prepared.

Tadaaah! At last, I have seen something done...😂 Seeing it already planted made me feel slightly relieved from the tiresome activity.

There is still a lot to do. But I have decided NOT to finish it all in a day because that would be impossible and I would just pressure and disappoint myself 😂.

So, I set aside the soil I gathered in a big basin (not used because the bottom was already broken). I would go back to it when I can gather organic fertilizers hopefully soon. I also need to plant my available vegetable seeds and grow new seedlings, which would take a little while (enough time for me to prepare the planting area and the needed pots).

In the meantime, I surveyed again my small garden area.

My ginger plants are growing well and are healthy🥰...

I also trimmed my marcotted Calamansi (citrus) tree🥰

My spinach is getting matured. I knew it when it bears flowers and fruits. I just let it riped and falls to the ground to grow new spinach seedlings (I would have new seedlings by then ready to be planted).

And I called it a day😂. As I said, I will just stress myself if I want it all done in a day or two. Gardening is not as easy as you think. It takes a lot of effort, time, hope, and patience. So to all the gardeners around the world, I salute you all for a job very well done.

That's all for today Hive friends! I hope you enjoyed my "starting over again" story. I also hope you find this worthy of your precious time and if so, reblogging is much appreciated, THANK YOU!😂🥰.

Thank you so much! See you in my next blog. Sending my best regards and my warm big hugs!🥰 God bless everyone!

Seems that you have a green thumb. I tried gardening before but my plant always die.

I guess so @anonymous02 ... Sometimes the seedling I planted also die too. I just have to evaluate why it died and learn the shortcomings I made and the whole process of replanting is repeated over and over again 😅

Anyway, thank you for your time reading this post. I truly appreciate it. Warm hugs🥰

Very hardworking @ciadanmea.Your husband is so lucky to have you in his life.

You really did a lot of things there @ciadanmea. For sure that part where you planted those lemon grass will be filled with those. In just a matter of weekfor sure you will see some shoots already.
Those gingers are very healthy, just by looking at those leaves.

And you're right about gardening is not that easy at all. You exert effort in every plant you will grow for you to harvest a lot later..
Happy gardening once again and looking forward to you other plants.. yiee heciendera sa munting hardin.

Thank you so much @diyhub for the love and support🥰

What a variety of plants. I imagine that for the winter you have to keep your plants, otherwise the cold will wreak havoc. Around here you don't have to do that, because although it is cold, it is not cold enough to kill the little plants.

You really appreciate each of your green companions. I really liked your glass garden, it is beautiful and it would be great to make a kind of diorama with some fairy tale characters hehe.

Wow, that's a lot of things you did to revive your garden again but then it was all worth it in the end because your garden is so beautiful and doing really well.

You are a truly a gardener, hehehe

Thank you so much @hopestylist ... I really hope that all the hard work will soon be paid off. Still so much things to do, thinking about it just made me feel tired 😂😂😂...
Hiwever, I can always recharge because I love doing it anyway.

You are welcome @ciadanmea. Well I can understand your worries but then I will say you shouldn't worry about it because it will be fine. Working on a garden is never easy but then because of once love for them, it will become more interesting, hehe.
