Greetings, Fellow Germinators!
How have your crops been?
When I write here, it's about two major branches of planted life experiments so far. One in the garden and another one — on the balcony.
This one is about the latter. Some months ago, I shares series of photos and thoughts on what was going on in the pots. It all dried and died in the end when we skipped a beat and we went out of town for a dew days with no preparation. Some sort of dripping should have been put in place.
Some time later, I did use the same soil to plant new seeds of various kind and for a while I thought nothing was happening. I kept watering the dirt, though.
And then, after a longish pause, and in a matter of days...
Seeds upon seeds upon seeds.
Yeah, when one thing would not germinate I did move to the next. This is still the experimental phase for us.
Beans, at last. At least...it started on its way up. A fun sort it should have bean ;) since I know I planted no casual white small ones.
I have to mark the sorts next time.
Carrots again. I have them in many places, waiting for some of them to grow now. Soon to take out some from the garden, I guess. Those on the balcony shall have to wait some more.
It could be Basil. Or could it...?
I think I am waiting on some Dill, cherry tomatoes, strawberries to show their colors. Or not. And I shall certainly conduct more experiments in autumn. Till then, time to learn how to make these survive the summer heat without me for a week.
I need a system and soon.
