Did you know that in the Bible, children are very special and important? They have a great place in God’s kingdom, and they symbolize humility?
Have you ever noticed how kids respond when they realize they’ve done something wrong? They bow their heads, cry, and admit their mistakes with pure hearts. That’s the kind of humility God wants from us—to come before Him sincerely and honestly, just like a child.
November 8, 2025 — A Day to Remember
The province of Bohol was under Signal No. 1 because of Typhoon FugWong—locally known as Uwan. Thankfully, our area wasn’t greatly affected. The weather was cloudy and cool, and though it rained in the morning, it wasn’t too bad.
Still, I hesitated. I thought, “What if I don’t go to Bunhayag today?”—the place where we’ve been holding our Bible class every Saturday for almost two years now.
But then, there was a quiet whisper in my heart urging me to go. I truly believe it was the Holy Spirit speaking to me. So I decided to obey—and I’m so glad I did.
Because if I hadn’t gone… I would’ve missed something truly beautiful.

The Joy of Being With the Kids

When I arrived, so many of the kids were there—some familiar faces and even a few new ones from the same barangay. The weather turned out fine, and the view of nature around us was breathtaking as always. Bunhayag will forever be one of my favorite places to be.

What I love most about these kids is their initiative. They eagerly helped me carry the mats, my bag, and even our drinks up the mountain. Their smiles and laughter made the walk feel light and joyful.

Watching them play reminded me of my own childhood—how I used to swing on tree branches and enjoy the simple things. I saw a younger version of myself in them.

This is Jeric, one of my most attentive students. He listens so well during our lessons and has such a good memory. He’s thoughtful, always offering to help me—though of course, he can be a bit playful sometimes (kids will always be kids!)

And this is Hainel—you might remember her from one of my earlier posts about our mountain class. She’s shy and doesn’t open up easily, and there was even a time when she stopped attending our Bible sessions. But now, she’s back—and not only that, she’s become my assistant and photographer! (No bias here—they’re all amazing in their own special ways.)
Our Lesson and a Little Bit of Chaos
Today’s Bible story was about Jesus’ resurrection—how He died on the cross to pay for our sins and came back to life. After our lesson, we shared snacks and played games.
My patience was tested more than once, I’ll admit—but thank God, I survived with a smile!

At one point, I asked the kids to jump so I could take a “best jump” photo. Some nailed it, others not so much—but every picture was filled with laughter and joy. Maybe it was my camera’s timing, or maybe their energy was just too wild to capture!😂
Moments of Reflection

As I sat on the mat later on, I looked at the mountains and couldn’t help but admire the beauty of God’s creation. Some kids were chatting with me, while others were busy playing or heading home.
The smile that always inspires 🙌🏼

I asked Hainel to take a few photos of me just enjoying the view—pretending the camera wasn’t even there. Those turned out to be some of my favorite shots of the day.
The Best Part — Our Group Photo

Before heading home, we took our traditional group photo—something I always look forward to. Their bright smiles, cheerful faces, and joyful spirits are such blessings to me. These are the moments I never want to miss.
But not everything was perfect. I discovered that a few of the kids had some misunderstandings, so before leaving, we sat together and talked things out. I listened to their little stories, hoping to guide them gently. It started to drizzle, so we packed up and went home.
As I walked back, some of the kids told me they would attend church the next day. Hearing that from them warmed my heart so much.
To God Be the Glory
My heart is full. Spending time with these kids reminds me why I do this every week. Their innocence, honesty, and joy make every effort worthwhile.

Even on a cloudy, uncertain day—God turned it into something beautiful. 🌤️
To Him be all the highest glory for today’s victory! 🙌🏼

There is a true joy on serving God through the children. Kid's have that special place in my heart since I was also serving in the ministry before with both children and adults.
