Enjoying Japanese Food Just the Two of Us

This week, there is a sushi promotion at one of my favorite restaurants in Kota Kinabalu. It is Wojomama Japanese Restaurant. It's not the first time I have written about this restaurant. Nevertheless, this time it's presented in a different way with new images that I took today with my same old Samsung A51 mobile phone.

Previously, I had mentioned that @butwo had been admitted to the hospital for almost 2 months. He became thinner until his bones were visible. Despite being discharged, he hasn't yet recovered his appetite.

Good news that @butwo is now able to eat his meal in a normal routine. He was also more handsome because he wasn't so thin. It was also his idea to take me to this Japanese restaurant for a dinner date. This year due to busyness and unfortunate events, we haven't been to any Japanese restaurant for a date.

In addition, this Japanese restaurant was a memorable place for us.

At 6.30pm, we arrived at this Japanese restaurant. We managed to get the remaining 3 vacant seats just beside the sushi conveyor belt. The restaurant was decorated with many Christmas decorations and also had a relaxing piano Christmas background song playing.

Both of us ordered Ocha or green tea for our drinks. Cold Ocha for @butwo and hot Ocha for me.

We automatically did what we should have done at our table without speaking. @butwo prepared the wasabi with soy sauce for both of us. As for me, I'm responsible for bringing our favorite sushi and food on the sushi conveyor belt to our table.

We've always been told that if we're dining at a Japanese restaurant with sushi, we should order or eat raw salmon sushi or sashimi. But we are the opposite. We do not like to eat raw salmon sushi or sashimi.

We were able to eat this marinated sour jellyfish or Kurage with crunchiness when we mixed the cucumber slices with the jellyfish slices on the plate.

@butwo is the only one ordering food from the food menu. He ordered his favorite beef noodles and I'm happy he was able to finish it in one bowl. It's not like before when he couldn't finish a meal.

Fried chicken, our favorite food that we took 2 plates of it from the sushi conveyor belt. While I was eating this fried chicken with my hand, a twin sisters were making a lot of noise beside me. This twin sisters were watching me enjoy this fried chicken, @butwo said. Maybe they want to have my plate of fried chicken too.

At last, desserts for our after main course meal. On the sushi conveyor belt, there is a lot of dessert, but I just took 4 plates. I would like to take more but my stomach is already too full to take in any more.

The cheese cake easily melted in my mouth, and the pudding was not sweet. These desserts were the most delicious one I had among the 4 plates of dessert I took just now.

Taking pictures of the tower of consumed sushi plates is a must for most of the customers in the Japanese restaurant including us. And here's our sushi plates tower for showing off.

Overall, our meal in this Japanese restaurant cost us RM107 (USD24.35) for member and promotion price. This value is still reasonable in this inflationary period.
