If anyone remembers, I once mentioned that, without planning it, ramen always ends up on my must-have list when I travel. Interestingly, that also happened when I traveled to Purwokerto some time ago.

When I visited Purwokerto, the weather was pleasant with occasional drizzle. On my last day there, my friend was feeling a bit under the weather, and we were also starving after a long day of sightseeing.

We both used excellent public transportation throughout Purwokerto. The beautiful layout and small size of the city made it easy to get to.

After returning from the botanical gardens, our bus stopped at the town square. We planned to pray Dhuhr and then find something to eat. And then, I found Ramen Restaurant right in front of the bus stop. As planned, I crossed the street, prayed, then returned to the ramen restaurant, and… it was time to eat!

At the front counter, there's a wide variety of Japanese-style fried foods lined up, including chicken katsu, chicken rolls, baby katsu, shrimp rolls, chikado, karage, spicy chicken, fried gyoza, and many more. Prices vary, from the cheapest 4,500 rupiah to 13,000 rupiah.

There's also a wide variety of menu items, including ramen and yakitori, and bento boxes and various drinks are also available. I immediately ordered gyoza, karage, and baby katsu for the fried items, while I opted for the basic ramen with spicy broth.

Although the restaurant is small, customers seemed to be constantly coming and going. I was curious about what it would taste like, as it's relatively inexpensive.

In a bowl of noodles, the broth was slightly red, with half an egg, and a sheet of nori. The portion was just right for me, not too much and not too little. The taste was commensurate with the price. Because of the low price, the taste was modest, but for me, it was quite good, especially since we were hungry.

That concludes my travel and food report. Thank you for reading.
