Wild Birds of Zagorochoria · 19 pics

in Black And White3 years ago (edited)

One rainy early morning, I arrived at Lake Aoos located high in the mountains of Zagorochoria, Greece. The purpose of the trip was to take pictures of some wild birds, as it is always very quiet in the morning. Today I would like to share these pictures. For shooting, I used a 300mm lens.

The first bird was a stork, flying low over the forest. It's a stork, isn't it?

Birds on a wire. Apparently, crows.

A cormorant was swimming in the lake.

The cormorant was swimming to his boyfriend, or girlfriend, I do not know.

There were a lot of cormorants.

Cormorants are very shy birds.

Pelicans have also been spotted there.

Finally, a few pictures of the patterns of the lake surface.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nice B&W photos!

Thank you, Andy! 🙂
There's some merit to the rainy weather which allowed me not to be distracted by the color (because basically everything was black and white).

Sometimes bad lighting actually helps :)
