Vasil, Cardano's new HF, will improve scalability and performance

By the end of this month, Cardano will officially release Vasil, the last hard fork of the blockchain, the most important after Alonso, released in September 2021, the month in which the new ATH was registered for over $ 3, while now it settles on values of about $ 0.55-0.6, in line with the price of HIVE.

Vasil will bring an important update on Cardano's scalability and performance, reducing the weight of transactions, decreasing fees and increasing the number of transactions per second. The goal is to obtain a number of transactions of a few million per second, in order to be able to compete with electronic payments from companies such as VISA and Mastercard, and begin to be competitive worldwide.

Vasil's hard fork was supposed to be ready by the end of June, but due to some problems encountered during the testnet phase, it has undergone further postponements and the release in recent weeks seems official. If the Cardano update is further delayed, it could be postponed to mid-September, in conjunction with the upgrade of the Ethereum network, scheduled for September 15th. Coincidences?

Charles Hopkins has always gotten that Cardano will be the Ethereum killer, and perhaps there could be a correlation between the delays in Vasil's release and Ethereum's HF. Ethereum is completing the migration process to Proof Of Stake, which is expected to be completed within the next year.

Despite some criticism received from the Cardano community for non-compliance with Vasil's roadmap, the Cardano Development Center (IoT) confirms that the priority is to ensure that the network is secure and functioning properly, delays of a few weeks are insignificant if there is a potential risk of the blockchain. In fact, Cardano to date is one of the very few blockchains not to have been breached by hackers, an indicator of high reliability not only for small investors but also for the future of the entire ecosystem.

@tipu curate

grazie mille ☺️

Yay! 🤗
