We had this Amazon Prime Day Sale 2025, 12th - 14th June here in INDIA just finished and I am sure many of you would have taken advantage of this SALE as many products were being sold at a hefty discount. From my side I happened to do a lot of shopping and would have spent close to Rs.45K+ in terms of dollars it would be around $550 dollars. Yes, its too much of money but on the other side 50% of it was spent on buying a new phone which is HONOR X9c 5G Dual SIM (8GB RAM, 256GB Storage) | Ultra Durable | 108MP AI OIS Camera | 6600mAh Battery | 3840Hz Risk-Free Dimming Display (Jade Cyan)
This was ordered on the first day of the SALE i.e. on 12th July and today I will be getting its delivery for which I am very excited. I had been looking to change my phone, and this will be the second time I'm switching to Honor after using Motorola phones for quite a long time. So lets see how *HONOR X9c 5G performs, will be doing the unboxing and giving its review maybe in my next post. So stay tuned on the updates here.
Amazon - Bad Experience with RETURN Pickups...
Now coming to the return pickups of items, I’ve noticed that the experience is getting worse on Amazon, especially when the vendors are third-party sellers and not fulfilled by Amazon. Here is where its getting dirty. Just as an example, I order the above item which is Divine Casa Microfiber 120 GSM Reversible Lightweight Printed Single Bed AC Dohar Blanket (Abstract, Navy Blue and White, Size,140 x 210 cm or 55 x 83 inch)| TC - 120 and you can see the RETURN pickup image above. What happened here was as soon as I received the order, I didn't like the material and raised a return request with a refund of money. The first return pick up was promised for 13th June and to my surprise I saw the message on the Amazon portal for this return changes to another date and a message saying - "Package was not successfully picked up as the package was not ready" and they changed the return pickup date to 15th June. But the truth be told no one had come to pickup the product. I kept silent and thought it could be system error or so and I will wait for 15th June for the item to be picked up. Again the same thing repeated no one came and this time they changed the return pick up date to 19th June. This is where I started to feel something is phishy and not right and I should contact the Amazon Customer Support. Now days I am not sure if you folks have observed or not its difficult to get to the support as most part of it is automated and you need to do some kind of a hack to reach out to these people. Anyways I had a conversion with the support guy and explained all what had happened here with me. All what I get to here is Sorry Sir for the inconvenience caused we will arrange the pick up and the date was changed from 19th July to 17th July and the support person also ensured that this will be raised to the concerned team. I am not sure to whom they will raise as this kind of issue is not for the first time I am facing. I have faced it earlier also and ultimately had to reach out to the support to get the return pick up date right. Seeing all these hurdles a customer has to go through at times, it makes me feel wonder whether we should really rely on online shopping or should rather switch to the older tradition of shopping by visiting shops and then buying the goods. Technology has made it easy but it has also opened the door to new kinds of problems, including delays, poor service, and even fraud. While online shopping offers comfort, we must be cautious, informed, and ready to speak up when things go wrong. Will things change or will it get worse time is gonna tell. But would love to hear if you all are having similar kinds of an issue or it only with me. Platforms like amazon and flipkart are following a different approach with their return policies and sometimes this experience is really bad. Hope it gets sorted for you soon
Yes experience is bad with the return policies. Anyways I got it sorted out while talking to the Amazon support staff. cheers
