Hello friends,
the protagonist of this post is not a card but an ability: Sneak.

Sneak

Image.png

Cards that have this ability attack the opposing card in last position instead of the first.

Cards that have the Sneak ability

Considering all the editions (Alpha, Beta, Promo, Reward and Untamed) there are 18 cards that have the Sneak ability.

Untitled1 copia.jpg

Shin-Lo

The most valuable and rare card among all cards that have the Sneak ability is Shin-Lo.
Shin-Lo is a card from the Promo collection, is a Legendary card and is a card of the Dragon element.

Image.png

It is the only legendary card that has the Sneak ability and is one of only three cards with the Sneak ability to have a magical attack.
The other cards are Coral Wraith and Goblin Sorcerer.
The mana cost of only one unit makes it a really useful card in battle.
But the price is really high: 124$

Image.png

The cards with the Sneak ability I use most

Image.png

When the battle has many mana available, I often use Silvershield Assassin.
When he reaches level 5 he acquires three skills. A really good card.

When the battle has few mana available, I often use Kobold Miner.
It costs very little (2 mana) and in combination with Daria Dragonscale reaches an attack of 3.

I also often use in battle Coral Wraitth (Level 1), Goblin Thief (Level 3) and Feral Spirit (Level 4): they cost little in terms of mana and have a good attack.

When I use cards with the Opportunity skill

The fighting rules are very important.

If you want to win a battle on Splinterlands you must always pay close attention to the rules of combat.

Fighting Rule favoring the use of cards with the Opportunity ability

Little League

Image.png

According to this combat rule, the only monsters you can deploy in battle are those that have a mana cost less than or equal to 4.

Image.png

It is the most favorable combat rule for using cards with the Sneak ability for a simple and obvious reason: most cards that have the sneak ability have a mana cost of 4 or less .
In fact, only Silvershield Assassin and Pyromaniac have a mana cost greater than 4.

The card with the Sneak ability that I chose to use in the battle of this post is: Goblin Thief (Gold - Level 3).

A battle of mine with Goblin Thief

In the battle of this post I had the following conditions to respect:

Image.png

According to the battle rules:

  • I can only deploy cards that have a mana cost less than or equal to 4.
  • All cards have an armor point bonus equal to 2 units.

Initial Statistics

Let's take a look at the initial battle statistics.

Image.png

I start slightly favored

  • As you can see from the image above, I have five more attack points than my opponent.
  • As you can see from the image below, my opponent has three life points more than me.

Image.png

My Battle formation

As you well know, the maximum number of deployable cards is 7 (1 summoner + 6 monsters).

I chose to deploy (in order of position):

Furious Chicken - Manticore - Goblin Thief - Brownie - Wood Nymph - Creeping Ooze

Daria Dragonscale (Summoner)

First position

Image.png

In first position I deployed Furious Chicken (Level 3).

Since it has a zero mana cost, it is an always useful card that I deploy very often.
I almost always place it in the last position.
In this battle I made an exception because when the battle rule is Little League the cards do not have a very strong attack and because with 2 armor points (thanks to the Armored Up battle rule) Furious Chicken can resist one more attack and protect Manticore that I placed in second position from two attacks.

Second position

Image.png

In second position I put Manticore (Level 4)

A card that I often use in second position.

  • Has a really low mana cost (4)
  • He has 8 life points which are many for a card that costs only 4 mana.
  • Has an average speed (3) which in this battle becomes 4 thanks to Brownie.
  • When he reaches level 4 he acquires a total of three skills: Flying, Reach and Thorns

Image.png

Thanks to the Flying ability, Manticore is more likely to avoid melee and ranged attacks.

Image.png

Thanks to the ability Reach Manticore can attack from the second position instead of only the first.

Image.png

Thanks to this ability, every time he suffers a melee attack he can attack the card from which he suffered the attack and subtract two life points.

Third position

Image.png

I put Goblin Thief (Gold - Level 3) in third position.

In the battle this post has the following characteristics:

  • Has a low mana cost (4).
  • has 3 attachment points (Meele Attack)
  • Has 4 life points
  • Has a good speed (3)
  • Has the ability Sneak and for this reason in the battle of this post attacks Twisted Jester who is positioned in last position.

Noname copia.jpg

It is a very useful card because it has a good attack already starting from the first level.

Fourth position

Image.png

In fourth position I deployed Brownie (Level 4).

Level 4 Brownie has two abilities.
The Switfness ability allows her to increase the speed of herself and a unit's friendly cards.
Thanks to the ability Inspired increases the attack of friendly cards by one point.
A truly precious card that I recently enhanced.

Fifth position

Image.png

In fifth position I deployed Wood Nymph (Level 6).

An always useful card especially when the battle rule is Little League.
I chose to deploy it because it can increase the life of my cards by 1 unit (ability Strenght) and will heal the card in first position.

Sixth position

Image.png

In sixth position I deployed Creeping Ooze (Level 4).

Since it has a low mana cost (1) it is always a useful card and I deploy it very often.
I often place it in the last or penultimate position.
In some circumstances it is useful to deploy it in the top positions.

Summoner

Image.png

The summoner I chose is Daria Dragonscale - Level 4.

It is now the summoner I use most because it is the only summoner that allows me to summon level 7 community cards, level 5 rare cards, level 4 epic cards and level 3 legendary cards.

I wrote an in-depth post on Daria Dragonscale: https://peakd.com/hive-140217/@libertycrypto27/daria-dragonscale-vs-malric-inferno-considerations

Thanks to his ability, all my cards with melee attack get one more attack point and this allows to cancel the opponent's summoner ability that reduces the attack of the cards with melee attack by one point.

Conclusion

Cards with the Sneak ability are very useful and, as I showed you in the battle I shared, they are most useful in particular circumstances such as the Little League battle rule.

To make the most of the cards with the sneak ability it can be useful to look at the cards that the opponent sets up most frequently.
You can do this by taking a quick look at the following screen that precedes the choice of cards to send in battle:

Noname copia.jpg

If your opponent frequently sets cards in the last positions that have a strong attack, using one or more cards with the sneak ability can be very important and may be the right choice to win a battle.

When your opponent deploys a card with the Taunt ability such as The Kraken, cards with the Sneak ability lose their ability until the card with the Taunt ability is eliminated .

Cards are important but battle rules and the use of your card abilities in relation to battle rules are even more important.

Abilità Sneak: Strategia di Battaglia e Considerazioni.

Ciao amici,

Little League

immagine.png

Furious Chicken - Manticore - Goblin Thief - Brownie - Wood Nymph - Creeping Ooze

Daria Dragonscale (Evocatore)

Prima posizione

image.png

In prima posizione ho schierato Furious Chicken (Livello 3).

Seconda posizione

image.png

In seconda posizione ho messo Manticore (Livello 4)

Terza posizione

image.png

Ho messo Goblin Thief (Gold - Livello 3) in terza posizione.

Quarta posizione

image.png

In quarta posizione ho schierato Brownie (Livello 4).

Quinta posizione

image.png

In quinta posizione ho schierato Wood Nymph (Livello 6).

Sesta posizione

image.png

In sesta posizione ho schierato Creeping Ooze (Livello 4).

In alcune circostanze è utile schierarla nelle prime posizioni.

Evocatore

image.png

Hey! Great post!
I really appreciate being able to see all the Sneak cards in one place. It's like I can memorize them at a glance.

(About halfway down you left "Opportunity" in the headings instead of switching for "Sneak". It's also on the Italian side. 😘)
