THis is inside a room of my granparents house, this room stays freeze and abandoned since the 80's, there you can find a lot of objects from those years and a lot of dust, leakage and rust from the ceiling.

Hi @bil.prag and @photogames lovers.
I'd like to take part in the contest with this image of an apartment block abandoned in the island of Ibiza ten years ago. Nowadays is "home" of homeless and urban artists due to its proximity to center of the second village of the island.
"Object No. 221" or "Alsu-2" is a former reserve command post of the USSR Black Sea Fleet on the Crimean peninsula. With the collapse of the USSR, the almost completely finished object was abandoned, everything was taken out of there, except for the walls themselves. The structure consists of two underground galleries, connected inside by long and high rounded tunnels, as seen in the photo. In fact, a four-story house was erected inside the small mountain Mishen.
I am not an urban explorer, but I end up in such places when walking with the photography group. Somehow, I have managed to take a shot of a beer bottle in the pile of urban mess. The Digbeth area in Birmingham is very derelict.
Unfortunately, no other derelict looking shots. Unfortunately, it is not my cup of tea.

I visited this abandoned railway complex in the Atacama Desert. The railway started in 1866 mainly to carry minerals from Bolivian inland to the Antofagasta port in Chile. Until the late 1970s when the steam locomotives was giving way to diesel engines, the station as well as the town eventually fell into disuse, but it remains in fairly good condition including a locomotive arsenal, wagon storage yards, warehouses, a roundhouse and turntable...
It's really impressive to see so many details that tell the historical changes, right in the extreme heat and dryness in the middle of the desert. Hard for me to choose among the loads of photos taken there, and I picked this wide angle one at last to show you the big picture with the desert setting:

A row of old buildings in the old city district of Jakarta. Maybe in the colonial era, this used to be a shopping and restaurant area.

What year was it?
My photo was taken many, many years ago before the restoration and the location wasn't in the middle of the area. The place wasn't that crowded either. Now it's hard to take some old building photos without people around 😁
This is before the covid , i think 1 year before . Yes this place is crowded all day .

Always hard to pick in this game and this time was even harder as it was good photos and plus interesting places. my love of flashlight painting and interest in weird tunnels probably influenced my decision :)

Oh my, what a pity that you have such a problem. I hope your problem with the operating system affected only it, and not hard drives. I sometimes think what to do if I lose part or all of my photo archive, and shudder with fear :)
i managed to get some stuff from the hdd of the operating system. After few days it feels like i did not loose anything really important. I do have a bad habit of putting a lot of stuff on my desktop :)
The annoying thing at the moment is installing everything again. especially all the addons, actions and all other stuff.
I started the backup of my photo archive some time ago, but it is a slow process as i don't have enough room to have raw files on 2 different places. But yes, loosing all the photos would hurt. now and every time in the future when i would think about it :)
Well, it's good that there were no big losses!
Oh yes, installing everything at once is a very tedious and long task. And still, after a while, something that you missed to install will be detected.
Hope this terrible thing never happens to us :)
