Where is it Wednesday?

whereisitwednedsay.jpg

I was visiting a project out of state and just so happened to be leaving the project site when this amazing sunset was happening so I pulled off the road, grabbed my camera, and snapped a couple photos of the sunset.

Can you guess where this photo was taken???

OK this is mission impossible but let's give it a try for the sake of the game :)
The picture doesn't say much, at least not to me that I live on the other side of the world so it's only your blog that can give some clues. Unfortunately you don't post too often and the info about your moves are very limited!
Nevertheless I have decided to make a guess and I will :)
You live in Utah but you said that you were visiting a project out of state, so it is not in Utah. The only project that I have found mention of, is a school in Minnesota which you have visited and taken some pictures of it. This is also a dead-end because the pictures of the school are taken in winter and the one in question is definitely not. But I'll pretend I didn't notice that and I'll continue :)
In your post about the school you don't say where is it but in a comment you provided a link that informs us that it is the Southwest Christian High School in Chaska, Minnesota.
And that's as far as I can go!

So my answer is Chaska, Minnesota although it is rather unlike to be correct :)

That's some good detective work.

Congrats to @bil.prag for guessing the correct location, which was Bear Lake, Utah.
I made up the story about me visiting a project out of state as a red herring (rule #5).

@sjarvie5 and @fotostef this is for you...

nasty :D

Haha, you are too much for me :)

My gut says Idaho. Where? That's hard.

Ok...

I did a little searching and learned that you are an architect. Don't know how I missed that. Very cool. Thanks Linkedin.

Then I went to the firm you work for and looked at the portfolio and blog to get some ideas. Didn't see anything in Idaho that caught my eye.

I went to the services> construction> Idaho and found two builds in Nampa, Idaho. Oh there was one in McKinney, Texas that was a possibility. With some searching it looks like there are many more trees in McKinney. I stayed with Idaho.

I am going to say you were visiting the Christian Faith Center and you stopped at Lake Lowell in Nampa, Idaho.

This could all be off. It was fun to take @r00sj3's place while she is waiting for her new computer.

Oh my, Sara! And I thought I spent a lot of time looking at the map while googling anything that came to my mind, haha! You live in a big country full of lakes guys! But you are a talent! No matter if the answer is right or wrong :)

Ha ha thanks. It was a fun challenge. I googled Jordanelle Lake and it looks like it.

It really looks like it, doesn't it? I got super excited when I saw it! And the mountains at the back. I am so curious of what @caseygrimley will reveal :)

this game is most frustrating and a lot of fun. Casey always had the hard ones with almost nothing to go with 😂 the amount of time i spent on "where is it" is well more then i would like to admit 😄

Wow. Just wow.

Did you read rule #5 though. 😏

this could be anywhere :D bear lake Utah 🤷‍♂

I'm pretty that's your answer every time. Haha. I do spend quite a bit of time there.

🤣

could be. i start with image search and scratch my head, then i go to the social and look for hills look a like, then i find nothing similar so i go with good enough, then i check the map, makes no sense so bear lake Utah 😄

US is big :)

Well, your random guessing has paid off. This was at Bear Lake, Utah.
I made up the story of me being on a site visit for work as red herring (read rule #5), and it looked like it worked for a couple people. 😄

Another 5 HIVE to you sir!

mountains had that similar feeling, but the water and shoreline that i looked at had almost nothing in common with the photo you posted :D

Yeah, I will go with the "Piute state park" with Piute Reservoir. Basically, a wild guess...
