Wow, very interesting. I didn't even realize that it looked like mint till people started guessing that.
I was in Virginia in April, at Mount Vernon (George Washington's house) on a tour and the tour guide was pointing out plants and said that this was American Beautyberry. The name was so cool I took a picture of it for Photogames!
April 2022 in Virginia
October 2021 in New York City
Congrats to @itchyfeetdonica. How did you know?
Thanks Sara! I used apps to scan your photo (normally I use them to picture plants in the wild😃) and then picked this answer after comparing the options with photos online.
I have an app too, picture this. Just got it on this past trip. It is so fun.
American Beautyberry
Latin name: Callicarpa Americana
Spearmint

Too late for the English guess ("spearmint") but maybe I can try the Latin name? "Mentha spicata"
Common Lantana ?
I have no idea actually 🤣
I'm gonna go with a sweet birch (Betula lenta)
Looks more like a shrub so I would say MINT SHRUB - ELSHOLTZIA STAUNTONII
everyone went for the Mint :D and that was my first thought when i seen the photo. and i was surprised that i have a guess about a plant without looking through internet about it.
Wild mint
I think it looks like the American Beauty Berry
Forgot to add the Latin name: Callicarpa americana
I will try this kind of mint, although I won't be surprised if it turns out that this is not mint at all :) :)
Peppermint (Mentha Piperita, also known as Mentha balsamea Wild)
Hard to be sure but I'll agree with @bil.prag that it is wild mint.
Latin name: Mentha arvensis
stinging nettle
Oooof, it really looks like a wild mint, but the nerves look more smooth and it is not as thick... I wonder what does the hint mean? Anyway, I find it highly possible that @bil.prag and @fotostef are right. I will slightly change the Latin name and go with "Mentha canadensis" :)
Mint
