Is Argentina's Times Square in Buenos Aires?
Good morning my dear friends of Liketu and the whole Hive ecosystem! I hope you are having a beautiful day. This time I bring you a place in Buenos Aires that dazzled me. I had been there when I was a kid, but I didn't remember it this way.
It is Corrientes Street, especially the space that begins at 9 de Julio and Corrientes. If you walk down there at night, you will see a lot of colors, as a result of the illuminated signs lit up in a large part of this street.
In addition, you will be able to enjoy shops open at 8 or 9 in the evening, where you can continue shopping, and there is even a Carrefour supermarket open 24 hours a day.
I am not a big fan of casinos, but for those who are interested, you can find some in this place and the most peculiar and characteristic of this street, is the presence of theaters, which invite people to enjoy famous shows with very prominent actors of Argentina.
In addition, there are many restaurants and bars to sit down to eat something or to rest after a long walk on this street or anywhere else in the city.
When I was walking around there, the first thing that came to my mind was the Times Square area in New York, a space that generated exactly the same feeling in me, and it is a bombardment of sensations.
The senses are somehow heightened and seem to want to be everywhere at the same time. The aromas are captivating, not to mention the images. At times you don't quite know where to look.
In this street they have reserved a sector for pedestrians between 7 pm and 2 am, so you can see people walking next to the cars. Of course, this is a place that is full of people. For example, I took these photos on a Wednesday around 8 pm, and you can see the traffic congestion that had added to the people.
Most of these people were tourists from different places, I heard people speaking English, Portuguese and the typical Argentinean Spanish from other provinces of the country like Cordoba.
Something really nice about walking around here at night is to turn at some point in the direction of 9 de Julio street, where the Obelisk, an Argentine icon, is located. Its impeccable white reflects the city lights and other illumination that aims to highlight it in the heart of Buenos Aires.
The truth is that I liked it very much and I invite you, if you go to Buenos Aires, to walk along Corrientes Street, and I suggest you to see a play. This, to be very honest, is not because of my own experience, but because it was highly recommended to me before going, but finally I did not buy any tickets due to lack of time.

¿El Times Square de Argentina está en Buenos Aires?
¡Buen día mis queridos amigos de Liketu y de todo el ecosistema de Hive! Espero que estén pasando un día hermoso. En esta ocasión les acerco un lugar de Buenos Aires que me deslumbró. Había ido cuando era chica, pero no lo recordaba de esta forma.
Se trata de la calle Corrientes, en especial del espacio que comienza en la calle 9 de Julio y Corrientes. Si ustedes caminan por allí de noche, verán muchísimos colores, resultado de los carteles iluminados encendidos en gran parte de esta calle.
Además, podrán disfrutar de locales abiertos a las 8 o 9 de la tarde, en donde podrán seguir comprando, e incluso hay un supermercado Carrefour abierto las 24 horas.
Yo no soy muy seguidora de los casinos, pero para quienes les interesan, podrán encontrar alguno en este sitio y lo más peculiar y característico de esta calle, es la presencia de teatros, que invitan a las personas a disfrutar de famosos shows con actores muy destacados de la Argentina.
Además, hay muchos restaurantes y bares para sentarse a comer algo o a descansar después de una larga caminata en esta calle o en cualquier otro lugar de la ciudad.
Cuando estuve caminando por allí, lo primero que vino a mi cabeza fue la zona de Times Square de Nueva York, un espacio que generó exactamente la misma sensación en mí, y se trata de un bombardeo de sensaciones.
Los sentidos de algún modo se agudizan y parecieran querer estar en todos lados al mismo tiempo. Los aromas, cautivan y ni hablar las imágenes. Por momentos no se sabe muy bien a dónde mirar.
En esta calle han dejado reservado un sector para peatones desde las 7 pm hasta las 2 am, por lo que se pueden ver personas caminando junto a los autos. Cabe aclarar claro, que se trata de un lugar que está repleto de gente. Por ejemplo yo tomé estas fotos un miércoles alrededor de las 8 de la tarde, y podrán ver la congestión vehicular que había sumado a la gente.
La mayoría de estas personas eran turistas de diferentes lugares, escuché a personas hablando inglés, portugués y el típico español argentino de otras provincias del país como Córdoba.
Algo realmente bonito de caminar por aquí de noche, es girarte en algún momento en dirección a la calle 9 de Julio, donde se encuentra el Obelisco, un ícono argentino. Su blanco impecable refleja las luces de la ciudad y otra iluminación que tiene como objetivo resaltarlo en el corazón de Buenos Aires.
La verdad es que me gustó mucho y te invito a que si vas a Buenos Aires, pasees por la calle Corrientes, y te sugiero que veas alguna obra de teatro. Esto, para serte muy sincera, no es que te lo diga por mi propia experiencia, sino porque a mi me lo recomendaron mucho antes de ir, pero finalmente no compré ninguna entrada por falta de tiempo.

Aquí estudiamos mucho la retícula y la morfología de buenos aires. Urbanamente es hermosa, cuando veo los planos quiero dedicar un día de mi vida a caminar por allí. Sobre todo en el obelisco, mucho valor histórico allí.
Así es!! Bueno, en verdad para ser súper sincera, no se toda la historia de la trama urbana de Buenos Aires, pero sí que hay mucho valor histórico. Es una ciudad muy bonita Ale, estoy segura que ese día por Buenos Aires va a llegar pronto 😊
