It's the last day of work today here in the Philippines. It's going to be a very looong weekend for us that's starting tomorrow until Monday next week. Everyone's either heading to their hometown now or heading for an out-of-town getaway with friends and/or family. I just got home after a grueling 3-hour travel from Cebu City to Carcar City that on a normal day is just at most 1.5-hour ride. Traffic sucks right before long holidays; nothing new really.
Today, we're taking a short break from my Project81 PH featuring Banaue in Ifugao. We'll explore another Province that's closer to Cebu. You got it! Bohol!
I've written a few things about my incentive trip to Bohol last November 2022. Some of my previous articles are here [1], [2], & [3] just in case you're interested. 😉
Let's go!
It was the second day in our incentive trip. First day was dedicated for what most tour operators call as "Country Tour". For the second day, we're exploring Bohol's beaches and islands. We stayed somewhere in Panglao Island. I will be writing a detailed review of the hotel we checked-in but that can wait.
First stop was Virgin Island in Panglao Island, Bohol. Panglao Island is a bigger island located south east of mainland Bohol. You need to ride a boat that'll take you from Panglao to Virgin Island. But you don't have to worry about where to get a boat ride, tour operators usually group Virgin Island, dolphin watching and Balicasag Island in one tour. I suggest you get that tour to fully experience Bohol's beauty. Since there's more than 15 of us, two boats were allotted.
A few weeks before our visit, Virgin Island stole the digital limelight when vendors in the island trended for selling overpriced food. As a result, all vendors were banned and we had the tranquility and island vibes you're supposed to feel when you are in Virgin Island. It'll be a total eye sore to see floating mini stores around the island selling overpriced food and beverages.
It was a quick stop in Virgin Island, there's nothing to do here aside from taking photos since the water's too shallow for swimming. But if you want pictorial, this is the place from that.
In my next post I'll take you to Balicasag Island. 🏝️❤️
