Venezuela is in the midst of a deep economic crisis, with a failing economy, hyperinflation and a lack of access to basic goods and services. To move away from this situation and begin to build a more sustainable economic system, we are proposing to fund the Orinoco Verde DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) and its associated projects to create the foundations for a green economic system in Venezuela.

What is a Green Economic System?

A green economic system is built around sustainability and environmental responsibility. This type of economic system encourages the use of renewable energy, efficient resource management, and the conservation of natural resources to create an economy that is economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable.
A green economic system can also be used to create a more equitable society, by providing access to resources and services to all members of society, regardless of their social and economic status. Sustainable farming practices, such as agroforestry, to reduce the negative impacts of pollution, climate change, and other environmental issues are also implemented.

Benefits of a Green Economic System

I met Daniel Velasquez, a citizen of Ciudad Guayana, in the Telos ACORN group. Daniel is an electronic engineer struggling to feed his family, like many Venezuelans, and I would be happy to collect funds for the Orinoco Verde DAO he has created.
Funds will be managed by the EOS orinocoverde account and only actions described on the Hive blockchain and voted by the DAO will be financed.
