Hello good day friends, I visited my neighbors cassava farm in Ile Oluji, Ondo state, Nigeria and I am very glad to see how he has been managing his farm. He planted a good and hybrid specie of cassava and I could see they are growing very well and healthy too. He made sure the farm is well cleared and there is no weed. The cassava is like 6 months old. Cassava is used for different purposes such as Cassava flour which can be used to make bread, granules for making eba. This is very popular in Nigeria. So many farmers plant cassava for commercial purposes and some farmers make use of the cassava themselves. Is a good source of income for the farmers and also to those who engage in the processing.
It's not so easy to farm in Nigeria because most farmers do not have access to any Machinery. Just like my neighbor, he makes use of hoe and cutlasses to cultivate which makes the work very tedious and requires energy.
