The Strange Case Of The Plant Pots

in GEMS3 years ago

Has the universe picked up on something? Are the neighbours feeling the energy from this unit? What's going on?

Last month, we open our sliding doors and saw this money plant left in our corner. Not inside the house area, but in the communal pool area just on the other side of the planter box that divides our area from the rest.

The pool area has been cordoned off since the lockdowns last year. There is red tape around it and nobody's allowed to even hang out on the deck. I know this because of the time the kids were sitting on the deck and guards came up to shoo them away.

So this person had to find his way into the pool area, even though there are several other areas that actually have trees and plants not cordoned off which they could have deposited the plant, and they left it outside ours.

Intuition told me that it was for us, but it wasn't given to us directly, so we did not want to bring it in. But I water it as the cleaners don't need to come to this area on a daily until the pool reopens.

Then this morning, I stepped out of the front door and there were these two pots with soil left right outside. Our unit has no grill, so it was easy enough to leave them right at our doorstep so there's no missing them or not knowing they are for us.

No complaints really, they are nice pots. But I do find it strange that people think it is okay to just dump their stuff without checking first when they can actually ring our doorbell and ask us if we wanted them. Guess they didn't want to hear a "no thank you".

Same thing when we first got married and had a couple of cats (before the kids). From two cats we ended up having four. No 3 came by when a friend's cat got pregnant and she already had like 30 cats and asked; well literally forced us to take one kitten. She was a beautiful ginger kitten, and she made some money for her keep when she was used in a cat food commercial. No 4 was left in our rubbish bin and he too was a real cutie though a rascal. The only of the four that will rummage through the kitchen when we were not around, nibble through packets and leave everything in a mess.

So, if you are looking to dump any plants or gardening stuff (nothing with legs please), call us at 1-800-Dump.
Really though, have you had things left at your place anonymously under the assumption that you will want it? Or perhaps you have left something at someone's doorstep without announcement?

Thank you for reading
Till next time, Carpe Diem!

That cracked me up. 😂 Maybe they saw that your balcony is so green and thought you needed more pots. Haha.

Yesterday, while I was working on a project on our workbench outside, there were a father and son who came. Apparently they've been speaking to hub about the garden. He was curious where we get our soil considering it's sand all over here. Then hub told him he gets dried leaves and mix them with our kitchen wastes. So yesterday, he came to us with a big bag of dried leaves. He and his son had collected some for their own garden and had some spare and decided to give them to us.

I think so or at least they hope we will appreciate it haha
Actually, I was okay with these pots - they are kind of nice :D

Ahhhh, Kenny or you need to write a post about making your own soil... or maybe you have and I've missed it
The Hubs and I have been looking at decomposing... but I'm feeling a bit princess and thinking of all the waste that I need to save.. ai,ai,ai...
Still considering it though
And now I find out that you guys do it - that explains the giant sweet potatoes and watermelons :D
