For the youngest of the house - Hamburges

in GEMS4 years ago (edited)

It is normal mom and dad don't want their children to get sick and teach their children to eat healthy, but may be they get to a point of forbidden all kind of food they consider harmful for them or junk food. We have to teach our children to look for a better quality of life, and food is going to determine that quality of life because we are what we eat

One of my brother was obsessed with a natural living style that he got to a point of forbidden his daughters to eat any kind of food he considered wasn't good for health. Being so young they got very depressed because they wanted to eat hot dogs, burges, sweets at the parties and special occasions.

My brother had to go to work in the oil wells very far from home, and when he left to work, my sister in law and his daughters went out to Mac Donalds and other kind of franchise food stores to eat what they liked.

I think the best to do in this teaching is to let children know that to be healthy you have to eat more natural food and ocassionally you can have other kind of food that are not so advisable. You have to teach them the value of the nutrients contained in the food they consume, and control what they eat and the quantity they can have.

I decided to make this hamburges for my faamily and we evaluated its nutritional value. They contain proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins in the vegetables used and the mayonnaise used was home made.

To make them you can use lean meat, home made mayonnaise and wholemeal bread. You put the quantities. I am preparing 8 humburges

Ingredients:

  • lean meat
  • humburges bread
  • ham slices optional
  • lettuce leaves
  • tomatoes
  • onions
  • cheddar cheese
  • mayonnaise
  • ketchup
  • mustard
  • pickles or pickles powder
  • you can add a fried egg to each burges, optional

Preparation:

Place all the ingredients on the table to have them on hand:

For the meat add oregano, salt and pepper and mix well
Fry the burges with only 1 tablespoon of oil

  • Cut the buns and place them on the table
  • Spread the mayonaise, ketchup and mustard on both halves of bread
  • Place the lettuce leaves, the meat and the cheese
  • put the tomatoes, onion slices and the pickles on the cheese
  • once they are all prepared i like to place them on a hot tray for 2 minutes on both sides and serve with potatoes chips and your favorite drink.

My family was very happy because they were eating something different and because they had a long time ago they didn't eat a humburges
