Hola a todos mis amigos de HIVE 💕

Quiero contarles cómo estuvo mi domingo familiar lleno de risas, diversión y la compañía de personas que hace mucho no veía. Tengo una familia materna muy grande y estamos un poco dispersos así que los hombres se pusieron de acuerdo y formaron un equipo de Softbol para jugar en contra de los equipos locales.

Hello to all my friends from HIVE 💕 I want to tell you how my family Sunday was full of laughter, fun and the company of people that I had not seen for a long time. I have a very large maternal family and we are a bit scattered so the men agreed and formed a softball team to play against the local teams.

Así que esto nos unió y nos fuimos al estadio de béisbol para verlos jugar y disfrutar un día muy diferente. Lo más divertido es que casi ninguno de mis familiares tiene experiencia jugando béisbol o sofbol, son puros aficionados y por supuesto se creen muy sabios en esto. Fuimos los primeros en llegar así que Marcela ya mostraba su mal humor 🤭

So this brought us together and we went to the ballpark to watch them play and enjoy a very different day. The funniest thing is that almost none of my relatives have experience playing baseball or softball, they are pure amateurs and of course they think they are very wise at this. We were the first to arrive so Marcela was already showing her bad mood 🤭

Pronto llegaron todos mis primos y sus hijos así que los niños se apoderaron de las gradas del estadio para jugar. Aquí están mis hijas con sus primitas.

Soon all my cousins ​​and their children arrived so the children took over the stadium bleachers to play. Here are my daughters with their cousins.

De un lado los niños, de otro lado las mamis. Aprovechamos para ponernos al día sobre nuestras vidas mientras los niños juegan un rato. Ya estaban aquí mis primas y mi hermana. De verdad me hacía falta este tipo de distracción.

On one side the children, on the other the moms. We take the opportunity to catch up on our lives while the children play for a while. My cousins ​​and my sister were already here. I really needed this kind of distraction.

De otro lado estaban los jugadores del equipo jajaja. Todos mis primos, esposo, cuñados y hermano formaron un equipo que nombraron "Los Primos" y jugarian contra un equipo que ya juega en la liga local que se llama "Los Viejos", dónde están tres tíos y otros vecinos conocidos.

On the other side were the team players hahaha. All my cousins, husband, brothers-in-law and brother formed a team that they named "Los Primos" and they would play against a team that already plays in the local league called "Los Viejos", where three uncles and other well-known neighbors are.

Así comenzó el juego, los niños tuvieron su momento de batear y tomar algunas pelotas pero la verdad el sol estaba inclemente a las 10 AM.

Thus began the game, the children had their moment to bat and take some balls but the truth was that the sun was inclement at 10 AM.

Papá está al bate pero aunque le fue muy bien, no pudieron evitar la perdida. Después de reírnos con sus errores, caídas, saltos y chistes, perdieron el juego 8-5.

Dad is at bat but even though he did very well, they couldn't avoid the loss. After laughing at their mistakes, falls, jumps and jokes, they lost the game 8-5.

Fue un juego muy divertido y muy entretenido, y es un ambiente al que estamos acostumbradas porque mi esposo fue jugador de béisbol profesional y trabaja en temporada con el equipo de béisbol profesional Bravos de Margarita. (En otro post les cuento su historia). Así que siempre estamos con el apoyándolo en su pasión que es jugar.

It was a very fun and very entertaining game, and it is an environment that we are used to because my husband was a professional baseball player and works seasonally with the Bravos de Margarita professional baseball team. (In another post I tell you his story). So we are always with him supporting him in his passion which is to play.

El juego terminó y no podíamos dejar de celebrar la perdida jajaja. Así que nos fuimos a casa de una tía con todo lo necesario para hacer una comida familiar y seguir compartiendo y disfrutando de un domingo diferente y especial. Algunos jugando truco, otros cocinando y otros conversando mientras los niños juegan.

The game was over and we couldn't stop celebrating the loss hahaha. So we went to an aunt's house with everything we needed to make a family meal and continue sharing and enjoying a different and special Sunday. Some playing trick, some cooking and some talking while the children play.

La comida estuvo lista en un buen rato, una típica "cabeza de puerco con arroz" que básicamente se trata de cocinar una cabeza de cochino picada con verduras y arroz en una gran olla, a veces se prepara a leña pero lo ideal es hacerla afuera al aire libre. Lo mejor de todo es que disfrutamos de una rica comida en familia de la manera más sencilla posible.

The food was ready in a long time, a typical "pig's head with rice" that basically consists of cooking a chopped pig's head with vegetables and rice in a large pot, sometimes it is prepared with firewood but the ideal is to do it outside outdoor. Best of all, we enjoy a delicious family meal in the simplest way possible.
