Drawing My Favorite Hivers part 2 | Thank You

Hello, Dear Hivers | Hola, Queridos Hivers

This is a continuation of my series of posts “Drawing my Favorite Hivers”

What is the purpose of this series of posts ?

I wanted to do this because there are so many people I admire here on hive and I think it is a great idea to make them this little gift in which I’m showing them my admiration, not for only posting quality content, but for the motivation some of them have given me to continue doing what I do (sing, draw, write…).

NOTE: I’m not doing this in order of my favorite, because they’re all in the first place

For this post I chose @hlezama

Yes, he’s my father, and no, I didn’t choose him because of that. I chose him because:

1. He’s always posting quality content:

My father has the special gift of writing. He can make up fantastic tales in just minutes and unfortunatly a good cuantity of them are ignored, but that haven’t stopped him from writing. I must say that he’s my favorite writer… after J.K., of course.

2. He’s the kindest person in the world (though a bit grumpy)

Mr. Lezama is a very cooperative person. He has helped lots of people here on hive, whether giving them delegations of HP (even though he doesn’t have much), or helping some users with doubts about the platform, etc.

3. He’s not the best father in the world, but he’s more than enough for @manujune

This girl, @manujune, has told me how much she loves and admires him for everything he does. He’s a very sensible man, with a huge heart always in dispposition to offer you a hand. Though @manujune isn’t his biological daughter, he has taken the job of raising her and teaching her the difference between right and wrong. If it weren’t for him @manujune wouldn’t be writing this right now, she wouldn’t know how to write or draw, hahaha (I’m not joking). Maybe be didn’t teach her formaly, but someone once said that children are like sponges, they absorb everything they see and copy it, and since Mr. Lezama never went out of his house without a book, you will never see @manujune out without a book…

Thanks for being my father!

LOL! This was a nice surprise. Thank you, sweetie.
You are my among my favorite hivers and persons too.
I liked the drawing. It's interesting how different styles can represent the smae features differently. No matter how many times I see you engage in one of your projects, whether it is drawing/painting, singing, playing instruments, or writing you always find a way to surprise us.
It's this magical "I-did-not-see-that-coming" moment, like in the movies, when you wonder when they had time to rehearse that part of a performance. You have that gift.
Keep working your magic, no matter what. You are meant for great things, and you will make them happen.
Love you (especially when I'm being grumpy)

Henrry you bloody handsome devil you!

That is all.

Goodbye.

Lol.

Ok, one more thing...

Keep working your magic, no matter what. You are meant for great things, and you will make them happen.

Me likely this line you wrote to manujune.

Now I'm done.

Hahaha! Thanks, mate.

"Thanks mate"...You keep talking like this and someone will mistake you for an Aussie! Lol.

He's grumpy because he is a tragic hero. That's his archetype. But it is true. He is a quality content creator and also a good editor for when you need it. I didn't know he taught you to draw that speaks again about the talents of the hero.

By the way, I like the detachment in the paragraph with the third person. It gives the whole idea an interesting perspective.

I like that "tragic hero" thing, sounds like a comic book character or something. Hmm... Maybe I should write a comic about him 🤔
Anyway. I'm glad you liked the third paragraph. I don't remember how I did such thing, but I think it worked...👍

Maybe you should. It would be interesting. Yes, that detached voice tends to work wonders when it is used properly.

He's grumpy because he's so bloody handsome that he has to beat the ladies off with a stick and it gets tiresome! Being graced with such killer looks must be hard Henrry. Lol.

Or...Is he grumpy because your drawing of him is way batter than the reality?

It shall remain a mystery methinks.

I like this drawing concept you're doing, but more so, I like the way Henrry means so much to you and how much respect you afford him, well deserved I'm sure.

...not the best father in the world

None of them are @manujune, they just do the best they know how and hope not to mess up too badly. I'll never be a father, but I was a father's son and am thankful for what he taught me. There's not much beyond that I guess. I think it's really nice that you chose @hlezama and that you speak so highly of him I like the fellow, maybe because I'm also grumpy at times?

Ha, ha, ha. I like your perspective @galenkp. Maybe that's the reason he is grumpy. I remember my classmates used to daydream about Mr @hlezama. It was hilarious. Maybe it is because of the drawing exceeding reality.

Is grumpiness the order of the day? Because I am another grumpy person. You can ask around here.

Henrry must walk around with a stick to stave off the women man! :)

There's nothing wrong with being grumpy, as long as one knows when not to be. That's what I reckon anyway.

Ha, ha, ha. He actually does. Sometimes he uses a book.

Yeah, I've learned that lesson the bad way. But I'll never stop being grumpy.

A book, what does he use, War and Peace by Tolstoy? Lol.

I think he uses whichever book he's reading at the moment. However, Tolstoy looks like a fine choice to do the work.

Nice and chunky, that Tolstoy knew how to waffle. :)

I think it is because his "killer looks" are fustrated by me, hahaha. When we go out every woman keep their eyes on my father, and that bothers me a lot, so I do my best to keep him focused on me so none of those women can have a chance of even winking at him 😊

I love him so much and I'm so thankful that no matter what he's still here for me and my mother. He has earned my total admiration and respect!😍

I know. No one is perfect, and yet, my father is to me. Our imperfections are what make us unique, and being unique is, for me, something perfect (of course, depending on your imperfections, but... Y'know what I'm trying to say 😂)

Are you a grumpy person? I didn't see that coming! 🙃Hahaha...

No, I'm not typically grumpy although I can get that way depending on circumstances...I don't like fools and sometimes they make me grumpy. Usually I'm quite affable in nature and can be quite funny too. I tend towards the serious side a lot though. I can't help it, just how it is.

Just on the perfect thing...Being imperfect isn't a flaw, and our imperfections make us human, and as you say are a unique feature about all of us. As long as those imperfections aren't detrimental to those around us then it's all good. It's clear Henrry is a good person and it's fitting for you to feel admiration and respect.
