Most aren't really going to homestead.
A lot of people have dreams of homesteading. For many, it's even a real goal. Of those, some of even willing to try, but many simply won't make it. Homesteading, like many other goals in life, may require short term sacrifices for a long term goal. Too many who think homesteading is enticing simply aren't willing to make those sacrifices. Then it will spread to all the cities.
