Welcome to the guitar tutorial (Part 5).
Strumming refers to the sweep of a string instrument, in our case the acoustic guitar, resulting in a certain musical rhythm. Both fingers and a plectrum can be used to strum. Let's see some common rhythms.
El rasgueo se refiere al barrido de un instrumento de cuerda, en nuestro caso la guitarra acústica, dando lugar a un determinado ritmo musical. Para realizar el rasgueo se pueden usan tanto los dedos como una púa. Veamos algunos ritmos comunes.
Balada / Ballad-Pop-Rock
The following strum can be used in various rhythms such as ballad, pop and rock, depending on the speed (tempo) at which we play it. You can practice with any chord you want.
El siguiente rasgueo se puede utilizar en varios ritmos como balada, pop y rock, dependiendo de la velocidad (tempo) a la que lo ejecutemos. Puedes practicar con cualquier acorde que desees.
Pop-Latin-Funk
This strum can be applied to various Latin rhythms, pop and funk.
Este rasgueo se puede aplicar a diversos ritmos latinos, al pop y al funk.
¾ Rhythm / Ritmo ¾
This is a very common rhythm in the waltz; however it is also suited to ballads and pop.
Este es un ritmo muy común en el vals, sin embargo también se adapta a las baladas y al pop.
These rhythms can also be played in a more ornate way by applying the Arpeggio technique, which we will see in the next post.
Estos ritmos también se pueden tocar de un modo más adornado aplicando la técnica del Arpegio, la cual veremos en el próximo post.
