Light In The Tunnel

In the darkest of nights, more often than not, there are still rays of silver linings which signify hope. In the midst of untold negativity, if you will be able to look deeply, you will still find measures of positivities, it only depends on your perception of life. There is no absolutely hopeless situation. For any challenging situation, there would be complementary rays of hope to reassure you of possible solutions.

In people and situations alike, there is a measure of goodness deposited in them. You only see the side that you have consolidated your gaze on. Your dominant point of focus determines which side of life you experience. If you make negativity your dominant perception, you will experience negativity. This is why it has been said that:

Where you look at will go a long way to determine how you look like

Even inside the dark tunnel, if you can realign your perception and perspective, you can still see light there. You do not have to wait till you exit the tunnel to see the "light at the end of the tunnel", try to look beyond what your natural senses can perceive and you will see light even inside the tunnel.

The appreciation of light is a direct function of the grossness of the darkness and not the intensity of the light. The thicker the level of darkness, the more meaning a tiny ray of light will make. In the same way, in the world of gross cruelty and negativities, your little goodness will be appreciated more. You do not have to always wait for the goodness from others, you can be the goodness of the world - the light for them to see in the dark. The salvation that the world needs should begin with you.

When you fulfil your own part to be the light for the darkness in your neighbourhood, you are moving the world a bit forward and creating an impact. Imagine if everyone going through a dark tunnel will bring a lantern, even if one person does not bring theirs, there will still be enough light for you not to stumble. In the same way, when the goodness begins with you, your neighbourhood will join and it will gradually overshadow the "badness" there.

You have more light when you are willing to share your light with others. Can I tell you this? Lightening someone else's candle with your own candle does not reduce the flame in your candle, rather it increases the overall light you see. In the same way, showing goodness to others has a way of coming back to you. You have a mandate to do good and that is the light inside the tunnel.
