It has been a while since I talked about what I’m working on.
Recently I started a newsletter called “Nicheless & Loving It”. I have sent out five editions. It publishes every Monday. The newsletter is in need of a home so people can easily subscribe and also find back issues to read.
The domain the newsletter will reside on is: nichelessandlovingit.com I couldn’t get a domain using the ampersand (&) so I had to spell out the word ‘and’.
Eventually I’ll be adding a podcast by the same name. Building takes time, so not going to try to do everything at once.
I didn’t take shots of the page itself developing but I did manage to capture my checking out the page to see if it was displaying right in desktop, tablet and phone view.
I use WordPress and build in a theme called Divi from Elegant Themes. I’ve used the theme for years. It’s flexible enough that I will never run out of ways to build pages.
In the video you’ll see a time-lapse of me creating the logo for Nicheless & Loving it and the time-lapse of the featured image I created. It’s also being used on my twitter profile as a pinned message.
Then you follow me as I explore the desktop, tablet and phone view provided by the Divi theme. It’s almost like building three sites at the same time trying to get all three views to work. Then it’s more reasonably close than exact as different browsers, computers, tablets and phones can view differently.
Next I need to figure out how I want to present the back copies of the newsletter and plan for how I’ll incorporate the podcast when that times come. I also will be thinking about anything else I want to use that site for.
