Hello everyone.
Welcome to my blog this beautiful Sunday evening. The weather is bright and sunny here and somewhat dusty too. How are you doing today and hope you are enjoying your Sunday so far.
Street foods is one thing that is always readily available in all the nooks and crannies of Nigeria. There are food vendors on the streets with affordable and delicious food to satisfy the hunger of anyone that patronize them. Well, some people prefer to visit a proper restaurant or eatery because they don't want to be seen eating or buying food in the roadside. So, class also comes in here. Roadside foods are majorly patronized by low income earners and average income earners and just few rich or white-collar job people, so to speak, eat from roadside vendors.
Well, for me I patronized one today when I was returning from church. This is roasted plantain also known as BOLI. It's a delicious local Nigerian snack. It may be in other countries too, anyways, but I'm not sure. It's often eaten with groundnut or pepper sauce. It's made by grilling ripe plantain with charcoal or an oven (modern method).
