The poem talks about a woman and by extension could be likened to all women that have similar qualities as described in the poem. The poem talks about the interesting qualities exhibited by this woman she is being described as vibrant and energetic as well as working hard and relentlessly day in day out. The major theme in the poem is that of praise, the poet persona who is believed to be a man is wowed and entirely engrossed in all the beautiful qualities of this woman. He praises and lauds her for always going for whatever she wants, damning the odds and obstacles that she encounters. She is said to do what she says she will do. The poet persona didn't forget to add that she has a characteristics of a smoke - her mood is said to always be up, just like the smoke is always flying up to the sky.
The poet chose simple words to express his recognition about the exceptional qualities of this woman. He also specifically uses words like "vibrant", "energetic", "relentless", "hardworking" and "vigour" to show the type of woman that she is. She is a go for it woman. She doesn't back down or get discouraged in the face of challenges.
The tone of the poem is that of appreciation, admiration and praises. The poem persona speaks as if the woman is right beside him, tilting her head to one side as he speaks to her ear in slow voice. It's a very soft and romantic setting.
