Changing our mindset to deal with difficult people.

in GEMS4 years ago

It will never be true if you say, you never meet any difficult people in our life. People are very different and we have to deal with them., in our own home, in office, in subways; everywhere. So the best way would be to make it simple is working on changing our mindset. It will make us understand others better and accept them easily.

So, how to do that?

  • The first thing we should set on my mind - don't expect others to change as per your expectations. We all have different choices and preferences. People will not behave what we like them to behave. So, better leave it.

  • Accept other's choices. It's hard to accept other's beliefs, ways of life and choices. But we all are different human so our life would be different. So, it's better to accept.

  • Don't take things personally. It's hard to accept other irrational behavior or maybe it seems irrational as per our belief. So, if anyone behaves or say anything which makes you feel bad, skip it.

  • Be kind and positive. Consider the negative and positive impact a difficult person creates. And focus on the positive. Practice forgiving and showing kindness no matter if they do really misbehave with you.

This is what our mindset should be but our actions should be a little different. Always talk and behave straight forward while dealing with any difficult person. Say the truth, say it hurts you, say you don't like it. Keep them forming, let them the chance to change, let them know what they are making wrong but in a kind way. Our anger or misbehave will make it worse and our denial will make them tougher. Raise your voice up to make a difference.
