Hello Hivers 💕💞,
As part of the rules guiding farming activities all over the world and as its normal practices even when we are yet to born you need to have a very good insight of what you want to do before going for it 4 it to be successful. I made a very quick conclusion on this particular farmland although it's not very much but at the end I planned to make use of it to cultivate maize or corn. the first thing you need to do for any agricultural land preparation is for you to clear the land manually or mechanically. For this purpose I went for the manual and decoration which is the use of hoe and cutlass.
The pictures below shows how far I went the first day when I Began the clearing of the Land the Preparation journey.
The Land At Its Natural State.
This was all the land was initially before I started cutting and clearing of the Land began properly. The land was used for the cultivation of African green and red spinach. But now it's the turn off planting of the maize.
Before Clearing.
The Clearing Of The Land.
I spent a whole 24 hours in clearing this piece of land not just clear a bit. I spent my time in clearly and also hand Weeding through the soil so as for the expected crop to germinate and also spend more time before the weed start to grow with it. Waiting for hours I mean I spent old day and making sure it is well kept
Final Clearing.
- The final journey of the Land took me 4 hours additional because I thoroughly hand pick the weight and also uses of cutlass.
Planting Of The Maize.
I planted the Maize in 4 per hole this is simply because in one way or the other I might record some damages fall when growing up or some tiny or weaker stem so I'm going to thin them as Time goes On.
The Final Planting Stage With Sign.
The sign I'm about to show you guys will present the proof that I finished the planting of the Maize. after each of my planting I used my leg to press down the side where I planted the Maize so as for it to have a very good contact with the topmost soil. Thereby showing a sign of initial and final planting signs.

Raining season has arrived over there right? I heard somewhere that you can harvest two crops of corn/maize in one year in some parts of West Africa. Is that true?
Yes. The rain has emerged partially where I am presently but in some part of Nigeria it has started since March ending. I am in the Mid north side where we have last rain at first and when it get to its peak it starts to flood everywhere. Considering the Maize 🌽🌽 harvest twice corn. Yes it is very possible. In the blessed Memory of my late dad, He Plant maize all year round and we eat all year round due to some conditions like Partial swampy area. So this is equally attain where you have access to water for Irrigation System. Yes it is possible. Thanks for this great question Mr ADE🙌.
You've done a great job mate, you'll be harvesting corn soon.
I remember my grandparents had a cornfield, but it was once a year that the crop was harvested. As a kid I enjoyed hiding among the plants and then I would come out with reddened skin, nice times.
