Another curious cluster of mushrooms for this #mushroommonday share for Hive. This group was quite sporadic on yet another dead tree in the forest nearby.
There are quite a few clumps of the fungi near and on the tree. Unfortunately a few were on the ground, no doubt due to someone feeling the need to rip them off the tree, but there were plenty more still growing.
The local insect population loves these fungi. I have no idea what they are grabbing off the mushrooms, but the insects were everywhere.
This was a definitely another fun #fungifind; my daughter loves finding new growth each time we hike through the woods. More to come next week!
