Whoever adds sugar to coffee is not unfaithful, he is simply a loving tamer of this strong but extremely pleasurable beverage. No food is in every home like coffee, so it is to be expected that the tamer adds just the right amount of sugar to give it just a little sweetness, in that contrast between bitter and sweet the taste buds can perceive an explosion of incomparable flavors. The coffee is as strong as a cactus, it has passed the test before many diners and has always come out victorious. You just have to let the tamer do his job, just as the botanist manages to make a little plant like the cactus with so much character become more attractive and steal our sighs 😉😉.

Greetings friends 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Oh so not only are you an infidel but you are willing to publicly defend these atrocities... Shame on you 😆

No, I am not unfaithful. It's a matter of tasting coffee with all the strong allies that make it versatile and elevate its level 💪💪💪💪

If you can do the test of making two coffees, one without sugar and the other with sugar, smell it and you will see that the one with sugar smells more since the sweet one helps to get more of its smell and flavor.

I'm a die-hard fan of bitter unadulterated coffee. I'm open to debate on many things, but that is not one of them 😁

I understand you friend @theapothecary , we have free will and I respect your opinion. But with sugar life is sweeter hehehehe

The elegance and sweetness of this comment is relatively proportional to the amount of sugar I assume you put in your coffee.😋😆

You are right 🤭🤭 long life to sugar 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 thanks for your comment 😃

Regards 🤗🤗🤗🤗

The yin and yang is in everything, where there is black there is white and where there is sweet there is bitter.

Anyway... your point of view was so exquisitely explained that you almost convinced me. I almost put sugar back in my coffee to tame it! hahahah

It is not my intention that you fall into the temptation of that amalgam of flavors that brighten your day and give so much satisfaction to your palate 😉😉.

Don't tell me twice, cause I love everything sweet... hahahaha😅

 last year

@abisag I don't take sugar with my coffee, but I get your thoughtful points which you've explained so eloquently.

The coffee is as strong as a cactus, it has passed the test before many diners and has always come out victorious.

I like that... but I love @theapothecary call out more 😂... that's so funny🤣

Hi there 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

I laughed a lot with @theapothecary the truth is that you have a great imagination, it's great to share with such creative people 🤣🤣
I'm afraid that between my teeth there is sugar too 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭

Hahaha good metaphor. But friend I will tell you that I love the spines of the cactus and I consider myself a tamer of the flavor without the need for sugar ... ☺️☕💜 I like to enjoy its flavor without sweetener.

🎆🎇🎉🎊🌧️💐✨🌾🌱🌹🌙🌿🍃🥀⚡🌺☘️🍀🌈🌷⭐🪴🌵🌸🌟💮🌴🌳💫☀️💮☔🌲🌳🌍🌌🌠☄️🏵️🐝🌻🌼🍄🐞🦋💙☕💜🍍🎆🎇🎉🎊🎆🎇🎉🎊🌧️💐✨🌾🌱🌹🌙🌿🍃🥀⚡🌺☘️🍀🌈🌷⭐🪴🌵🌸🌟💮🌴🌳💫☀️💮☔🌲🌳🌍🌌🌠☄️🏵️🐝🌻🌼🍄🐞🦋💙☕💜🍍🎆🎇🎉🎊

Wooooowww then you are an excellent tamer, I invite you on just one occasion to add sugar thinking of the cactus to see if the metaphor affected the perception of your taste buds 😉😉😉😉

Can you imagine finding it tastier 😂😂😂😂😂

😅 my mom, who is a weak tamer has not been able to give up sugar. Today she made a mistake and gave me her sweet cup. That sip of coffee for the 2 of us was a shock to our taste buds 😳☕...her because she found it bitter and me because I found it sweet.

I agree with you friend @abisag, that is the same as when we put a little salt on a sweet to make its sweetness stand out more. It is something like a balance of one to give more strength to the other.

Exactly, thank you for capturing the essence of what I meant. It's not a matter of infidelity it's taking coffee to a better level 😉😉.

People who add sugar to their coffee are people who want more out of life; they always long for a balance between sweetness and natural bitterness, to have the contrast of each one of them in one place; this is why people who add sugar to their coffee are unfaithful by nature; that is to say, we are those who are "insatiable for coffee".
Have you observed those who drink their coffee black? They drink a cup in the morning and they are satisfied with their morning dose, while those who add sugar do not care about the glycemia levels, much less about what people will say if you repeat another cup.

20221229_115408.jpg

It is because you know how to enjoy the good things, that's why a pure and delicious cup is enough.

I loved your image ☕💜🇻🇪

Thank you very much @chacald.dcymt
I'm glad you liked it

For me, people who put sugar in their coffee are definitely people who lack a sense of taste.
If they had this sense, I am sure they would not make the mistake of suppressing this unique aroma with sugar.
So, with apologies, they are Sugar Swamped Palates! 😀

Sugar-Swamped Palates! I like that name!

Me too :)

Sugar Swamped. Hehe

😀😀

lack a sense of taste

No doubt about it. Nothing like enjoying a pure and unique taste.

Creathens. That or Creme-Heathens, should I call them by their former name. They drink amung the shadows of the coffee community, being left out by the pure black natural coffee lovers.

image.png

That's not to say I blame them for there sugary-sprinkled Frappu-felonies. They used to be just like the others, until they followed the trail of sugar that lured them into the other side...

Creathens - Creme-Heathens, indeed. There, certainly are, natural black coffee lovers, of which you seem to be one. Your nickname made me grin 😁

Glad to hear it.

Getting to the other side is never an easy task! But… when you find joy in your thing, you’d be happy to stick to it.
For me it’s always the pure flavor of sweety and fruitful coffee beans!

Good definition, I was of the sugar group, but I always used it in moderation. Now I'm on the dark and pure side, and I confess I love it 🤭☕💜.

Molasses-eyes

Hey, Sugar, what do you say?
Where do you belong, my sweet… my sweet?
Do you like to tango, do you love to dance?
Do you love to sing a deep saccharin melody? Do you ?
My sweet!
You mingle well, you’re delicious in a mix.
But, let’s confess, in coffee you’re a mess.
It’s a case of less is more and you’re the bane of a perfect cup
You’re the relish to desire,
The affection over which few tire.
A notion of devotion
A specter of delight.
But, I beg you Sugar, stay away from my coffee
with your
Molasses-eyes.

Perfect...I liked that

where less is more.
We can't ruin the delicate flavor of coffee with an invasive sweet.

'Black souls with a touch of sweetness' is an appropriate choice for me. I like to use the phrase that I like my coffee as black as my soul, hence the name I have chosen.

IMG_20221229_152222.jpg

Look, if life is hard enough, why not try to sweeten it up a bit by adding sugar to your coffee? Balance is important in life, with just enough bitterness and sweetness to enjoy it and reach heaven.

One of my favorite afternoon activities is to have a black coffee with a touch of sugar, that doesn't mean I'm killing the taste of the coffee because we're not going overboard either, I just add a small spoonful of sugar.

The photo is mine, I am drinking coffee in the back garden of my house under my loquat plant. The haters are going to hate, but I'm enjoying my black coffee with sugar.

Thanks for the initiative!

 last year

'Black souls with a touch of sweetness

That's awesome. I like that 👍

I like the way you look at it. To each his own, indeed!
As long as you take the sugar in moderation:))

Of course! In my normal routine I drink two cups of black coffee a day, each with a small spoon of sugar, which is about 5 grams, and that's the amount of refined sugar I consume per day.

Now that I am on Christmas vacation with my family I drink up to five cups of black coffee a day with the same amount of sugar, but it is more cups, therefore more sugar.

But fortunately I have been stopping.

 last year

I've been overindulging this festive season too, with everything. I will need to cut back and up my exercise 😂

It is wonderful. Your opinion is very accurate

20221002_155601.jpg

I confess to being a Sucrose-caffeine-lover, (lover of caffeine and sugar sucrose), but I am a very loyal person to my friends, family and partner (when I had it) We separated 12 years ago due to his infidelities, not one, but several. He drinks his coffee without sugar, so this idea that who drinks coffee with sugar is unfaithful is not true, I say this from my own experience. Comparing sweetened coffee with infidelity seems to me in poor taste since coffee tastes very good and has a very rich smell that permeates the entire environment and everyone can smell it, the infidel must hide his behavior and if his deception is discovered, it ends in lawsuit. The coffee ends in delicious sips in your mouth and if you drink it in the company of friends or family it is a very enjoyable gathering. There is no comparison.

20221002_155410.jpg

Sweet “coffee-reasoning”. Sounds good to me!

Thanks friend @itsostylish, sugar is not the problem in this case hehehe

👏✅

I hear your strong argument, loud and clear... I'd choose the delicious sips in my mouth over lawsuits, any day!

Oh, poor Sugar heads… I will never be able to understand your thinking… or… would I?

The Sugar heads are just an ordinary people and you cannot blame someone for preferring a type of food or drink one way or another. After all, one man’s meat is another man’s poison! But why do really the Sugar heads prefer their coffee sweetened?

The truth is that coffee beans naturally have sugars in its beans. The perfect coffee shot is well balanced between sweetness and sourness, and bitter taste says that something is wrong with this coffee. It most commonly is the over roasting, or over extraction when being prepared. On both cases a human error led to the unpleasant taste of our favorite drink and sugar or milk is usually a way to fix the flaw.

Of course, there are these people who like more sweet flavors and it’s up to their personal preferences to consume sweetened coffee. And as I said… One man’s meat is another man’s poison. My simple tip for everyone will be:

First try to find and prepare better coffee with natural sweetness extracted from the beans and of this doesn’t work, be free to use sugar as much as you want!

Sugar heads...🤭.
We should only use sugar as a skin exfoliator 😅....

Maybe sugar based skin care is an excellent idea! 😁

It is, I have tested it on myself. It's the only way I use sugar.

Bravo @mdosev, better explained could not be. Thank you for that and it gives me the reason that everything sweet has its salt and all salt has its sweet although I don't like sweet-salty food, but each one is contained in the other. Pastry chefs use salt in their desserts to bring out flavors and bakers use sugar in their salt and the combination is wonderful.

Excellent explanation 👏👏👏👏 now I feel much freer to add sugar to my coffee without being considered unfaithful 😉

Regards 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Of course everyone should drink his coffee up to his taste! If you find joy in this flavor, then go for it!
Best wishes!

Sugar Heads!
Pretty sweet 🙃☕️

For me it sounded very well describing, of course with no offense for those who tend to drink their coffee with added sugar!

Haha! Sugar Head is a good one @mdosev

People who add sugar in their coffee are unfaithful. They are dishonest people or sugarcoated individuals who lives in lies. Therefore, he/she can be called as

Sugarcoated Coffee-Lover (Unhealthy Cofee-Lover who are prone to diabetes 😭)

Hah, that man's just thinking what lie should I tell today?

Great name by the way.

You got it correctly! 😀

Hahahaha yes yes. I know many in this group who love to go straight into the sugar abyss 🤦🏽....
Forgive them Coffee Goddess, they don't know what they're doing.

Hahaha! They should try milk and grow up after. 😂

🤭🤭

🤣🤣🤣😂 Sorry po!

hehe just trying to be creative. Im glad you like it. 😊

I don't think people who add sugar to coffee are unfaithful, but I do think they have a strong susceptibility to bitterness. I still drink my coffee with sugar, but I'm starting to change that. It's like when you have a boyfriend or girlfriend who often carries bitterness, but you can't sweeten it all the time, right? But understand it and take it maturely. People who put sugar in their coffee, I think are sensitive and can't easily deal with bitterness, that's my opinion.

In my house one of the things that run out quickly is sugar and coffee... when the sugar runs out it doesn't matter because we can have coffee without sugar, but when the coffee runs out it's a tragedy.

I like it both ways, but I usually add sugar. I think it also depends on how strong the coffee is made, there are many who say that without sugar is better and they make what I call 'agua loca' (crazy water).

At my parents' house it's something similar, except that they can't survive without sugar, sometimes they make crazy water with a little sweetened coffee.

 last year

... so what's your nickname an affectionate name for someone who sweetens their coffee?

I would call them 'Sweeties' I like to imagine sometimes their regretful faces when tasting bitter things.

 last year

Haha! Ok, that "sweet" 😆

I don't want to offend anyone, but... (proceeds to offend)😂....
If you want a sweet you can have an ice cream or a cake... coffee is what it is, and its taste is best appreciated without any sugar!
I would call them Traitors of the Natural Flavour of Coffee. Or perhaps, capricious/damaged taste buds.

🤣🤣

Traitor to the Natural Flavour of Coffee!
Fabulously Flavourful!

I must seriously think about that 😅😅 could it be that my taste buds are capricious...? No, I don't think so. Eating me a candy or an ice cream is not the same, unless it's a coffee ice cream 😃😃😃😃.

Thanks for standing up for the purity of coffee, don't go giving in to temptation 😉.

Greetings 🤗🤗

This one has a good point! 🤪

 last year

These are very thoughtful and creative words to describe people who take sugar with their coffee. 👍

damaged taste buds

I like that 🤣
4.jpg

I would say more like whimsical taste buds 😜.

Traitors! Traitors of the Natural Flavour of Coffee at that!

Good one!

Most definitely they are infidels. If they can't accept the bitterness of coffee, they won't accept yours 🤭 people who need to sweeten coffee don't know what the good stuff really is.

Greetings from Chile

But… bitterness is unwanted flavor in coffee and when your favorite drink tastes bitter, you better go find another coffee, or try improving your coffee preparation skills!

Not for me, I like it's natural bitter and toasty taste

That’s why I wrote in my comment here! Everyone comes with different taste preferences and this is so natural.
Best wishes! 😉

Totally true, it is natural for everyone to have their own preference. Diversity is great 😃

 last year (edited)

Comparing the bitterness of coffee, with the bitterness of people is an interesting comparison.

But what coffee-related name would you give to people who add sugar?

When I first started drinking coffee, it was always with milk and sugar. I stopped taking sugar a long time ago, and I eventually gave up milk about 4 years ago.

Best decision ever!

One of the things that I intend to start in 2023 is to follow a Keto diet to lower sugar or eliminate it completely. The only problem I find in this diet is that they use coffee with butter, I really don't know if I'll be able to get used to it in this particular, coffee with butter seems strange to me.

 last year (edited)

Coffee and butter sound very weird indeed.
I used to take coffee with a little milk, and as much sugar as possible. Then overnight I dropped sugar completely and never looked back 😊

I do hope that you will get on with the Keto diet, and if not that one, another way to cut back:)

I'm not sure what the coffee-related name means... Something like "half roasted grain stuck between the teeth"? Will that do if I wanted to use it as an insult for perverting the purity of coffee? 😹

"half-roasted grain stuck between the teeth" 😂😂😂😂😂

What...? That definition belies the essence you want to defend 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but it's valid, you made me laugh a lot 🤭🤭🤭🤭

Glad to be of service 😜

Thank you for such a good idea 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭

 last year

🤣 Haha! I guess that will do 😂
I might have to use that one on someone, someday.
May I?

Let me know if you ever get the chance to use it without being totally awkward 😂

 last year

Haha! Ok, I'll be sure to 😅
