Hello Coffee Lovers!

It's been a while since I last posted here, oh well actually I've been on and off here in Hive because of some personal and family issues that have been bothering me for weeks now that I can't focus on writing not even reading, and engaging. But I think I've been away too long that I need to focus here again.

What makes me write today aside from realizing that I've been hibernating for too long? You guess it right, I had a strong cup of brewed coffee this afternoon with my nephew and the best thing is we had it for free. Someone gave him a voucher worth five hundred pesos or $10 and he decided to have it with me.

At first, I was hesitant to go out but he reminded me that it's been a long time since the two of us went out. And so, we're off to Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf where we had our free coffee.

The place is awesome. One of the coffee shops here in Manila where it is nice to work, relax and spend time with friends. Before the pandemic, it is always hard to snatch a table here but now you can choose anywhere you want as people are not staying out that much yet.

And here's the counter, impressive design right? What about the food and drinks that they offer? Foods are all superb especially their salmon on bagel but I didn't order it today as I was craving for garlic creamcheese bun. And I had a very strong brewed coffee while my nephew had a Mocha latte. Their iced coffee mixes are also good but since it is raining we ordered the hot drinks.

Their brewed coffee given me some peace of mind on that moment that I was at the cafe and and a good talk with my nephew made me realize that I have to start over again, to refocus on what I really want and which path I want to take. Having a conversation with my nephew helps me too as he knows what I'm going through not that I tell him but he sees what's happening around me. Age nowadays are really not an issue when its comes to giving light to someone, when it comes to giving some inspiration or should I say young or old can give someone some inspiration if one will only open their eyes and their mind to listen on what they are saying.

Anyway, the garlic cream cheese bun gives a savory taste in addition to our coffee. I tasted their mocha latte and it is also so good, the chocolate and the coffee taste is well balanced and it isn't too sweet.

The looks and the ambiance of the cafe tells that the coffee and the food they are offer are a little bit pricey but with good service, and when I say good service it means staff are really courteous and friend. The taste of the food and drinks are real good that I'll say, it is really worth to be a bit pricey.

My afternoon was well spent with my nephew and I was thankful that I gave in to his invitation.

Will I still go back to Coffee beans and tea leaf? Of course, I've been here a lot of times before the pandemic and up to know they still capture my heart with the smiles of their staff and the wonderful taste of their coffee.
