i mean, the location makes it unique at one level but when you see how they serve their coffee, that's the whole different level!

A few weeks ago, I went on a short weekend trip with aunties and her group of friends (for sure different vibes yes! but all gucc.. It's good to hang out with all kinds all ages of people :)) to Nakhon Ratchasima, the city that's known for its mountains, nature and steak! So there we went.. One of the highlights there, Reservoir Lam Takhong and Yai Tiang Mountain which is close by. I actually didn't expect nothing more than just a short hike and great view but at the top of the mountain, I see this little hut serving drip coffee in its unique way.

This is probably one of a few coffee shops I have been to that has such a view. You're right on top of the mountain with a few of the whole reservoir, the blue sky and all the greens surrounding. I love the location! Wait for it... i mean, the location makes it unique at one level but when you see how they serve their coffee, that's the whole different level!

I have seen a dime a dozen of plastic drip basket (?) but never before seen a natural material woven into a coffee maker. This totally give me a 'homemade and natural' feel which honestly, feels hella unique and special. So there we go, ordered 5 sets straight for all the aunties to try out.

Even more fun that they don't do the drip part for us but instead, the set served with coffee in a filter, hot water and honey on the side. A few of the aunties who usually don't make coffee at home had a lot of fun trying all this.

I also think it's lovely that they use honey instead of sugar or syrup. For sure gives a different taste and that special hint honey got. I don't do any kind of sweetener in my black coffee so I can't tell you how it tastes exactly. I can only imagine.. but even that, I think I know how it tastes exactly. Good stuff.

I was a little surprised how inexpensive they charge for a set for being on top of the mountain in a little touristic area.. 1 set 50 THB. That's pretty good even for Thai price if you ask me.

Totally love the whole set up here. The nature, the breeze, the greens and the blue sky. It's peaceful up there and imagine yourself sitting in one of the wooden tables and slowly watching the coffee drip bit by bit.. Then taste the delicious bitterness afterward.

Totally a unique coffee experience!

I like the V60 method because I think it's convenient, but I also love the drip-on packets of coffee too. This wooden effect of that drip o is attractive.
Honey is always my preferred choice of sweetener which I might have in tea, but I've never tried honey with my coffee though:)

They serve americano honey in a lot of places here. Interesting you've never tried it! Understandable though as I myself normally drink just straight black with no sugar

I see that looks like the perfect cup worth the wait I wonder how it tastes

haa it's great!

Great place and i am so glad you were happy @waybeyondpadthai. If next year i go to your country, will we be able to meet? I admire you anyway 😅😘

Totally! I miss hanging out with Hivers! Always down to meet new people and connect!

That would be great. Thanks!
