Beautiful shots. You were lucky to get some of the color up close before it was all gone. We were getting hammered with rain when the prime time for colors was here. Then by the time it stopped and we could get out, they were all gone. It was a bit anticlimactic this yaer.

I was lucky this year the last couple of years I had no luck
but now most of the colors are gone here
Fall is much too fleeting for my tastes. I'd prefer Spring and Winter to be the short months with Summer and Fall being the long ones.
