Walk around Hoi An Ancient Town before Viet Nam border is opened

Hello, Wednesday Walk lovely friends!

It is such a long time since my last post in Hive
I have experienced and learned a lot of new things recently to share with you today. All things that happened made me stronger than ever. Now, take it easy and walk with me around Hoi An.

If you travel to Viet Nam, my high recommendation is Hoi An ancient town, which is located in Quang Nam province and far away from Da Nang city around 30 kilometers and about 45 minutes of driving. It is not only to show the old architecture but it is also combined a lot of diverse culture and beauty of many countries recent years.

I have lived in the center of Viet Nam for over 2 years and the first place I visited was Hoi An and it made a strong impression on me about the people and the peaceful countryside scenery. This time, I visited because I missed it. It has been 6 months since the lockdown in Viet Nam started and it was hard to travel even to the province nearby. Hoi An is like my small home.

Banh My Phuong
Come Hoi An or Viet Nam, you definitely should try Banh My Phuong. It is very unique and carefully maken by the lady called "Phuong". One time, an international tourist visited and tried Banh My Phuong and commented that "This is the best Banh Mi in the world" and this shop became very famous. I tried and have to say that it is very good. It costs around 30.000 VND (~$1.3). Houses in Hoi An are not too high, around 3 floors maximum so It felt good to enjoy Banh My at the top of the house where you could the entire view of Hoi An.

Get a cup of coffee on the rooftop

We stopped at one beautiful coffee shop and the interesting was just only me and my friend here because it was middle of day. It is very well-decorated inside with some potteries or vintage chairs but we would love to enjoy the fresh air on the rooftop.

This is my sister who influenced me a lot over 1 year now. She is very optimistic and her energy makes everyone around her happy and motivated. She works hard but play even harder. She is one of the first traveler I've met since last year who inspired me to try new things and get out of comfort zone. I am myself around travelers like her. She shared to me her stories and we had really good talk. We met and hung out before she left Viet Nam so this was the goodbye time to her. We enjoyed and appreciated every moment together.

Walk around Hoi An Town

A typical beauty of Hoi An is the yellow walls and the small alleyways which you might feel so enjoyable if you are a cyclist who love exploring the small corners. The more you go, the more hidden beautiful cafes or restaurants you will see. The mold in the walls is perfect for you to take some portrait photos.

This is lantern town. You could see it everywhere with many types, shapes, colors hanging on the trees or on the roof.
I love watching them and feel so peaceful here.
People here are very kind and honest. I love everything here.
