After an illness, the sun always shines brighter, the air smells better, life is more joyful... Did you notice it too?

Today, when choosing my topic for #WednesdayWalk, I looked at my photos and noticed: I did not write about my walk on January 19, 2023. On this day in Ukraine there is a feast of Epiphany, or we say Jordan... So, there is a tradition in Ukraine: people immerse themselves in water, because on this day water in rivers and lakes is considered holy and healing.
I like to remember these traditions. Once upon a time in Ukraine, when my parents were alive, I was always with them these days. But now these holidays are like days of remembrance...

The day before, I got sick and for several days I sat at home, drank tea and did not go out. And here is my first Jordan Day walk. The sky over the Aegean Sea in Cesme, Turkey was fantastic! It was windy and the sea was lapping nicely, creating a beautiful picture.

The ships on the background of the sunset and the windmills on the mountain looked fascinating! People were sitting on the embankment. Some are fishing :)

I wanted to dive into the Aegean Sea in honor of my healing today, on Jordan Day. Me and @darine.darine, who is my best friend on my walks, went to my cozy bay, which is a 10-minute walk from the marina.
It was a warm day, about 16 degrees. This is unusual for me. Winter in Turkey is similar to the beginning of autumn in Ukraine. But my children did not support my initiative to swim.
I am such a person: if I decide to do something, I will do it :)

But when I approached the sea, I saw: the sea is stormy! Therefore, I only went from the shore and dived into the waves, but did not swim to the depths! The Jordan bathing ritual was completed :)

Then Darynka and I stood on the seashore for a long time, enjoying the pictures of the sunset!

On the way back, we met a purple flower of amazing beauty, swaying in the wind. I don't know the name of this flower, but this flower is also found in the meadows of Ukraine.
The sky kept giving us new exciting pictures of the sunset. The white track of the plane in the sky, so beautiful in the crimson sunset!

I felt great joy! I'm healthy, I'm walking again, enjoying life! This is a special feeling that we feel more acutely after the hardships we have experienced. There is a saying for a reason: we value more what we lose! Thank God, I recovered quickly. I watched the sun setting over the Cesme Peninsula with pleasure.

Later we went to a local club to play the Turkish game "101 OKAY". And ate one cake for three :)

We walked home through the night Çeşme, enjoying the beautiful old buildings in the light of the lanterns and the orange trees that decorate the street.

The last vivid impression of my walk was this magnificent palm tree! New Year 2023, which I met for the first time under palm trees :)

When a person sits at home due to illness, he feels as if he has been ill for a long time. And when the mind becomes tense, it is better that even if we are mildly ill, we should go to such places. Good to see you are back to your normal life again. You have shared very great and amazing places with us. Overall your photography is awesome but first picture is my favorite in your photography. Clouds and sun are giving a completely different view. I really enjoy your trip. Thanks for sharing.

When a person is sick, he is forced to stop his usual life. As a rule, overwork or stress is the cause of our illness. If we calm down and relax, we prayerfully and gratefully allow our divine immunity to quickly restore the lost balance. Wisdom increases during illness!

I wondered why you had been absent from here, good to hear you are better and back on track, I hope you enjoyed your cake x

I haven't had the inspiration to write lately due to illness. There are also other problems with moving to another home. But I hope after February 14 I will write more often :)

keep safe, good that you are feeling better. x

What a beautiful view of Water coming at the Surface and going back in to the Sea. I just love watching it.

The time spent in illness , is weird, we can't go out, we need to eat medicine, we feel irritated, but after that, when we get well, we don't need to eat medicine, we feel light weighted and life become beautiful again.
Happy Wednesday dear @olga.maslievich

Thank you @itwithsm for your feedback! Sometimes we just need to rest to let our bodies recover. Watching the sea waves coming ashore is a wonderful calming effect on the nervous system!

Such a beautiful walk and yes after feeling ill a walk feels so special doesnt it

Thanks for joining the Wednesday, its always fun for me to visit the walks from all around the world, getting a feel for communities where people live and what they see on their daily walks

Sea has always seemed dangerous to me in winters. I saw the sea in Konyaaltı beach on news, was kind of killer.

Right, this winter had been so warm in Istannul as well till this week. It has been freezing for a few days with rain, sleet, snow and hail. A heavy snow fall os expected soon, which we need for an easy summer.

Have good days, geçmiş olsun.

You did not read my post carefully! I have long since recovered :)
But anyway, thanks for the health wishes! It sounds good in Turkish. I'm trying to learn Turkish, but it's hard for me!

We say it even one is recovered :)

The place itself is a sign of relief. If you have a problem and wanted to relax, this is the perfect place to go. ☺️

I agree - watching the sunset over the sea helps to heal the soul and body!
