The Unsolicited Drama after the Heavy Rain in Ile-ife, Osun State: Wednesday Walk

Hehe, drama galore happened during my Wednesday walk when people and motorcycles were displaying inside a flood when they were trying to move on the under-construction road and it was a fun thing.

However, many motorists could not locate the major road again because everywhere was flooded and making them fall into potholes and flooded drainage. Meanwhile, if the contractor and government were serious-minded people who care about the lives of citizens, such a thing would not have happened.

The people of the community are calling on the government to settle contractors that are working on this road to speed up their work because it has been under construction for years. A good motorable and accessible road is the yardstick for the economic development of a town/city because many people that are buying and selling will meet and bring their goods from remote areas to a town/city provided that the road that links to the town is good enough to make the sellers take their goods and services to the respective market. Thereby, it will create jobs opportunity for unemployed citizens in that area and through this, it will facilitate the economic growth of a particular town/city gradually.
