Walking along the abandoned port beside Palicte, Beach Resort

in Wednesday Walk10 months ago

Hi everyone😊 How are you today? I hope everyone is safe and well not just today but every day.

Walking along the shores is one of my favorite past times if I am so stressed. I love soaking my feet with seawater. In this way, my inner self will be healed.

This post is a continuation of my weekend treat with my Aunt in Asturias. As I was strolling around the area, I can see this abandoned part with a lot of bushes growing.

With curiosity, I ask my aunt what was in that area, and she answered, "That place is an abandoned port from a long time ago. That was been used by many people as a port but because of some circumstances, the port was not being used anymore".

Full of interest, together with my friend, I wanted to check the place and witness what could be seen there. Come on, join us, let's check out the abandoned port beside Palicte Beach Resort.

The moment you walk inside this abandoned area, you will be welcomed by a lot of small coconut trees sprouting at the entrance, maybe this belongs to the owner of the land. Growing coconut trees can also be seen inside the premises of the beach resort.

To continue, you can see these green bushes growing around. This portion seems abandoned because the growing bushes and some grasses are already in the pathways. My friend and we are eager to see what's in the end portion of this abandoned port.

Reaching the end portion will only take you 5 to 10 minutes of walking and you can see this stunning crystal-clear water.

Aside from that, on the side, you will see these big and broken rocks in the area which I presume that this is being used before as a docking side.

There are also old poles made of wood that might be used in docking their boats.

In the center, you will see old and broken footsteps that will reach towards the sea. It's pretty cool that until now there can be seen signs that this place used to be their port.

The water in the area is very clear which is good for swimming. Fewer people will go swimming in the area maybe because the water level here is high compared to the shorelines. If you love diving, I believe this place is good for you together with your friends but if you are bringing your kids with you, this area is not suitable.

Some fully grown trees here are good as shade for friends who will go swimming. The place offers you a relaxing view of the place. The cool shades of green bushes and trees grown in the area are good for sightseeing if you are bombarded with stress.

Time spent strolling around the area is a refreshing way to delight yourself in the new place you've been to. It's a good way to relax, start your week with a fresh mindset, and enjoy.

Have a nice day everyone!

Indeed, that was a refreshing walk along the greeneries seen in the abandoned port.

Just like in life, some things will not last long but surely leaves beautiful memories and lessons to ponder for all of us as we continue our journey.

That's all for today's #WednesdayWalk initiated by @tattoodjay. I hope I made you smile. Thank you for reading this far and supporting my post. See you on my next blog. Keep safe everyone.
