RE: I Asked The Wolf

You're the lamb, when you're doing something "for the greater good", let everyone passing first in the queue at the super market, because "I am in no rush", or when you turn a blind eye on injustice.

It's interesting that our fear of confrontation, and our generosity are strangely intertwined, making our motives moot. Maybe there is no "greater good", maybe just our own good.

I worked with real live wolves and was friends with a wolf as a child . Wolves know the meaning of community they are the epitome of greater good - and while there is a strict pack member ranking alphas serve their people just as much as their people serve them -

our society today is filled with selfish asshats who refuse to acknowledge that we all are connected and that unbridled selfishness leads to the annihilation of all . There is a clear difference between being a pushover and being someone who takes others into account, Also motive makes or breaks altruistic actions as well are you doing it to be seen in a positive light ? Or are you doing it out of a sense of duty and love . It is perfectly fine to do things oner does not feel like doing if the motive is to give joy to others, help or protect them . If the motives are impure going against ones grain becomes a different matter it weakens our spirit and makes us detestable human beings ...

P.S I have several totems - my strongest is as you might guess the tiger - my others are mantis , fox, raven and mouse .

That's so cool that you were friend with a wolf as a child!

it s the one trait one needs to hope never to bring out in me 😉
