MONEY! 💰
I remember that at the beginning of last year (April 2020), when I began to immerse myself in digital drawing, I participated many times in the DTIYS challenge or Draw this in your style.
After a long time, the artist above, a few weeks ago, took out this challenge with this illustration, so I got to work.

| I started by drawing the pose of the girl, I wanted to give it the same dynamism of the character I was based on, so I played with my hands and fingers intertwined in the hair. | Few know them, but there is a digital technique that is the "gray scale" "grisaille technique" or whatever it is called, but it starts with gray. This to strengthen the shadows and lights in a better way. |
I was super in love with the character and wanted to take it to the next level: color. But it was still missing for that.
Little by little he was drawing more shadows and lights, since the light came from the upper right.
I added glitter to the metals, in this case, the rings, earrings and the kind of necklace. It's a gloss that I love and that I'm starting to integrate more into my illustrations lately.
To strengthen the lighting, I decided to leave the background black, so that the colors and the lighting source of the character would have more participation.
Up to this point, I thought it would follow the same color palette of the original character, but the truth is that not so much.
These are the flat colors, it still lacks more color, some gradients and others. But that gave me an idea that maybe it was not what I wanted. Although the design is beautiful, the colors did not convince me. So I swapped and changed the values until I found the one I liked.

And that's how it finally turned out. Since there was a red background in the illustration I was based on, I decided to replace it with the fuchsia streaks in my illustration, in addition to the eyes of the same color and the skin antlers or horns.

Recuerdo que al principio del año pasado (abril 2020), cuando comencé a sumergirme en el dibujo digital, participaba muchas veces en el reto de DTIYS o Dibuja esto en tu estilo.
Luego de mucho tiempo, la artista de arriba, hace pocas semanas sacó este reto con dicha ilustración, asà que me puse manos a la obra.

| Comencé dibujando la pose de la chica, querÃa darle el mismo dinamismo del personaje en que me basaba, asà que jugué con las manos y dedos entrelazados en el cabello. | Pocos los saben, pero existe una técnica en digital que es la "escala de grises" "técnica de la grisalla" o como se le llame, pero se comienza con grises. Esto para afianzar las sombras y luces de mejor manera. |
Estaba super enamorado del personaje y querÃa llevarlo al siguiente nivel: el color. Pero aún faltaba para eso.
Poco a poco iba dibujándole más sombras y luces, puesto que la luz venÃa de la parte superior derecha.
Le agregué brillos en los metales, en este caso, los anillos, zarcillos y la especie de collar. Es un brillo que me encanta y que últimamente estoy empezando a integrarlos más en mis ilustraciones.
Para afianzar la iluminación, decidà dejar el fondo en negro, asà tendrÃa más participación los colores y la fuente de iluminación del personaje.
Hasta este punto, pensaba que seguirÃa la misma paleta de color del personaje original, pero la verdad es que no tanto.
Estos son los colores planos, aún le falta más color, algunos degradados y demás. Pero eso me hizo darme una idea que quizás no era lo que querÃa. A pesar que el diseño es lindo, no me terminaba de convencer los colores. Asà que cambié y cambié los valores hasta que encontré el que me gustaba.

Y asà fue como finalmente quedó. Ya que habÃa un fondo rojo en la ilustración en la que me basé, decidà reemplazarlo por los mechones fucsias en mi ilustración, además de los ojos del mismo color y las cornamentas o cuernos de piel.
