Hi, how have you been?
It's been a while! The past week, we were hounded by back logs at work. At any rate, I wasn't supposed to draw anything today or in the coming days at all. But I was browsing through Spotify and found that keshi, one of my favorite musicians out there, just came with a new single, more. Gosh, he just really doesn't disappoint.
Inspiration from music
For those who don't know, I'm in love with keshi's music. For some reason, his songs just really make me move and do stuff I find tedious to do. Hahaha. His songs are often sources of inspiration for most of my recent drawings.
His new song made me go through his songs again, and I'm enamored. Again. Today's favorite is 2 soon.
"How you been?", "How you doing?"
You been good, I been drinking
Way too much, you think that I'd be over you
Besides keshi, I have also been incredibly put into good mood by music by the peggies, another great find on Spotify while mindlessly browsing through. They're an all-female band from Japan, and I love their music!
Drawing How You Been
This was literally a speed painting. LOL. I believe this took just a few minutes short of three hours. For once, I didn't rely much on reference, except maybe the position of the subject, which is based off this Kristen Stewart cover. The backgrounds were mainly imagination -- I wished I could have been a little more creative.
The prompt came from keshi's 2 soon, which gave off reminiscing vibes. The sunflower and little balls of light were last-minute addition. I really liked sunflowers! I missed the sunflower season in UP this year, so I enjoy drawing sunflowers now once in a while.
The above progress shots were taken randomly. I was in a hurry to finish, that I never really gave details much thought this time.
I think I'm getting more comfortable with the idea of actually drawing with background. LMAO. Had I been myself two months ago, I would say I'd stick with plain white backgrounds and portrait drawing. I'm still nowhere near really good at it, but it's helping my short attention span -- I get many options to where I want to focus at a time. Haha.

Wow! Such a beautiful piece. I'm really amazed that you were able to draw something like this with your phone. Keep on inspiring others and keep safe always!
Drawing on the phone can be pretty uncomfortable sometimes, but as long as it works. xD Thank you, and keep safe, too!
Great work, Thanks for sharing
