What do you want from me? / digital painting

in OnChainArt4 years ago

Until few months ago digital art was something I just played from time to time with no special ideas.
But when this boy called Wacom entered my life things changed.
We had our ups and downs :) But day by day we started making nice relationship, until I felt in love.

Those who follow me know I am hand paint artist, pencil, paper and watercolors are my tools.

Switching to new tools is never easy, and switching to this kind of tool was special challenge.
Playing with brushes and finding right ones was biggest thing. Like looking for your kind of brush and right amount of color. And things are similar, it's your mind, knowledge and hand that do the job.
So, here is one of several digital portraits I made lately using my Wacom boy.

Unfortunately, off course I forgot to document step by step process since when I start working I forgot about other things.
Hope soon some new things will be documented and shared with you here.
And yes, it's only one layer. My approach to digital is classical, like painting oil painting :) Just paint on one canvas.

great work - I actually found it because I happened to be on twitter just now ..... upvoted and shared!

Thank you dear Otto :) Saw your reaction on Tweeter :)
Will be practicing this kind of share in future.

Great! I started using a graphics tablet a few months ago and I feel that the results only get better with the past of the time. But traditional art is always something special.
I like the Effect of strokes of the brush in your paint.

Agree, traditional is traditional. But this digital moment came in great moment for me since I over-painted during lock down we had and felt pretty exhausted.
And you are right about practice, like in all you do, more you work, results are better :)

This is really cool, I think I'll have to try out the brush thing, it's not bad at all

I spend some time figuring out what kind suits me, and as I have 3 kind when doing watercolors, same thing happened here :) Best way is exploring and finding those you like best.

Your watercolor work is pretty awesome and I'm willing to bet going digital will grace us with some great spins on your style.

Thank you, and thanks for support! I am still surprised how it is turning out :)

Hey, great work!
I just started playing around with a graphic tablet and my results are not yet something to show to anyone ^^
But I like it, it's something new to get into :-)

Take it easy, just play and thing will come to right place :)
