Dinosaur Plush- Art Process

Hi guys! Today I have a cute plushie to share with you ^^ I want to practice drawing more variety, and this turned out fun. I have a couple of plushies that I got as gifts ^^ They can be so cute! Do you keep any plushies?

I gathered a couple of references and jumped right into sketching. I started with the main shape, this is quick, but very important step. Getting the silhouette right and understandable can save a lot of time later.

The next step is rendering, details and shading. I wanted to achieve a slighly shiny texture- I totally forgot the name of that of the material. :D

Next, I added some color variety, mainly to add some color variety. I added a cloth patch because I find those cute, plus it makes the toy look like it was owned by someone :)

Last but not least I adjusted the saturation and brightness/ contrast. I often do this at the end to see if I can make the drawing pop out more and sometimes I get interesting opposite results of what I initially drew.
