Mt. Madjaas: The aches, the heartaches and the steps we didn't take

It’s easy to think and say “circumstances have been against me” when things don’t work for us. Easy to rationalize our actions and factor all the ifs and if onlys that contributed to our defeat. But, truth is, deep in our hearts we know that all these are nothing but just sugar-coated excuses.

Trust me, I learned it from experience. My recent climb to Mt. Madja-as taught me this.

Ljubljana's Christmas fairy tale

Even though Christmas is over, I'm taking you back to the festive mood of lights, mulled wine, Christmas trees, and joy.

Ljubljana is one of those places that is close enough to be accessible by train or bus without a car, big enough and small enough to have the feel of a capital city in Europe. Naturally, if you reside in Croatia like I do, but even if you are located further away, Ljubljana is still worthwhile seeing. We adore it for its consistently charming city center, as well as the fact that it's perfect for a quick weekend getaway, Saturday lunch, Advent in Ljubljana, or weekend shopping.

Friendly Portraits with a rollei sl35(EN/ES)

Hello to all film lovers and analog photography enthusiasts!!Today I´m glad to share with you these pictures selection from an old refrigerated Ilford delta 100 i received as a gift from a friend.
These are casual portraits from family, neighbors, and havana city snapshots i took with the Rolleiflex sl35 and Zeiss planar 50 1.8 wich makes a very sharp and nice combo.
I was very surprised how good this expired film turned out after been developed with ancient Agfa Rodinal Developer that still works as it were new.

Planted Aquarium Update!?!

Time to grow in again!
- I did some cleaning in the tank and got rid of a lot plants.
- It was all overgrowing and the fish needed some space to swimm again.

The water is still a bit cloudy because of me digging around and replanting the greens.

- I added some apple wood I had dryed from last season.

Why I've moved to a plant based diet.

Here's some thoughts behind why I've changed to a, locally sourced, plant based diet and now eschew meat except on special occasions.

If you want to eat a lot of animal based foods, that's up to you. I'm not going to stop you or try to convince you any differently. If you raise, slaughter and process your own animals, good on you.

This little article is just about me, my reasons for swapping to a plant based diet.

We Explored a Newly Built Lookout and Never Expected to Experience What We Did!

The La Vigie Lookout is a new lookout/ tourist attraction in the northern range of mountains of Trinidad that the government built in order to develop the jewel of a town called Paramin. This town is one of the quaintest and most charming mountain-top villages that one could find in Trinidad that is untouched by rampant industry, urbanization or air pollution. The air is chilly, pure and crisp as opposed to the rest of the country that is hot and humid and is an absolute pleasure for us Trinidadians to visit.
