Hello everyone, my anime fanatic friends, I hope you're all doing great, great community of The Anime Realm. This time, I want to share a new review with you. I'll be talking about an incredible anime, a hidden gem, it's called Girls' Last Tour. And honestly, the title alone doesn't do any justice to how beautiful, unique, and captivating this series is. Really... I watched it with some vague ideas; I thought it was going to be something dark, but what I found was... ugh, something totally different. Imagine this: the world ended, we have no idea why, some weird apocalypse happened, and everything, poof! Disappeared... It's a desolate, giant, empty world, full of ruins of a civilization that once was. It sounds like the typical dark and depressing post-apocalyptic theme, that's what I thought!

But here's the good part: "Girls' Last Tour" has nothing to do with that, not at all, although yes, the genre is post-apocalyptic, with its touch of science fiction and survival –because the protagonists are always looking for food and gasoline–, it feels much more like you're watching some girls on an adventure like that, out of nowhere, very long. It has an incredible 'slice of life' and adventure vibe that totally caught me by surprise... the atmosphere is not at all dark or sad; in fact, it's surprisingly cheerful and warm, although always with that beautiful bittersweet touch that gets into your soul in the most beautiful way... and the heart, the soul of the series, are its two protagonists: Chito and Yuri. And look, what a duo these girls make! We have Chito, who is the brainiest, the quietest... she's pure logic, she loves to read the few books they find, and she's always trying to learn from the past, to understand what's going on with the ruins of the world they walk through... she's the one who plans, the one who thinks.

And then there's Yuri. Oh, Yuri! She's the complete opposite: very absent-minded, super carefree, she's more impulsive, she focuses on what's in front of her, like figuring out what they're going to eat next, and, curiously, she carries a gun and is quite good at it, although sometimes she uses it with a somewhat childish vibe that makes you laugh but also a little scared... they're the typical opposite personalities, but, man, how they complement each other! Chito's practicality grounds Yuri's relaxed vibe a bit, and Yuri's optimism often pulls Chito out of his slumps... their relationship is, simply, tender. I fell in love with them and their chemistry. It's not forced drama or anything; it's pure camaraderie.

Hola a todos, amigos fanáticos del anime, espero que estén super bien gran comunidad de The Anime Realm, en esta ocasión, les quiero compartir una nueva reseña, les hablaré de un anime increíble, una joya escondida, se trata de: Girls' Last Tour y la verdad, el puro título no le hace ni tantita justicia a lo hermosa, lo única y lo atrapante que es esta serie, de verdad.. yo la ví con unas ideas medio vagas, pensaba que iba a ser algo oscuro, pero con lo que me encontré fue… uff, otra cosa totalmente diferente. A ver, imagínense esto: el mundo se acabó, no tenemos ni idea de por qué, pasó algún apocalipsis raro y todo, ¡puf!, desapareció.. es un mundo desolado, gigante, vacío, lleno de ruinas de una civilización que ya fue, suena al típico tema postapocalíptico oscuro y depre, eso mismo pensé yo!

Pero aquí viene lo bueno: "Girls' Last Tour" no tiene nada que ver con eso, para nada, aunque sí, el género es postapocalíptico, con su toque de ciencia ficción y supervivencia –porque las protas siempre andan buscando comida y gasolina–, se siente mucho más como si estuvieras viendo a unas niñas en una aventura así, de la nada, larguísima. Tiene una onda increíble de 'slice of life' y aventura que me agarró totalmente por sorpresa.. el ambiente no es para nada oscuro ni triste; de hecho, es sorprendentemente alegre y cálido, aunque siempre con ese toquecito agridulce hermoso que se te mete en el alma de la forma más bonita.. y el corazón, el alma de la serie, son sus dos protagonistas: Chito y Yuri. Y miren, tremendo duo forman estás chicas, tenemos a Chito, que es la más cerebrito, la más callada.. es pura lógica, le encanta leer los pocos libros que se encuentran, y siempre está tratando de aprender del pasado, de entender qué onda con las ruinas del mundo por donde andan.. es la que planea, la que piensa.

Y después está Yuri. ¡Ay, Yuri! Ella es todo lo opuesto: bien despistada, súper despreocupada, es más impulsiva, se enfoca en lo que tiene enfrente, como encontrar qué van a comer después, y, curiosamente, carga un arma y le sabe bastante bien, aunque a veces la usa con una onda medio infantil que te da risa pero también un poquito de miedo.. son las típicas personalidades opuestas, pero, gente, ¡cómo se complementan! Lo práctica que es Chito aterriza un poco la onda relajada de Yuri, y el optimismo de Yuri muchas veces saca a Chito de sus bajones.. su relación es, simplemente, una ternura. Me encariñé con ellas y con su química, no es drama forzado ni nada; es compañerismo puro y duro.

Look, the whole point of the story is that it unfolds in small chapters, like mini-episodes within their larger journey... we follow Chito and Yuri as they explore these giant, empty ruins of the city on their Kettenkrad, which is like a tracked motorcycle - crazy, super cool! They come across old buildings, bits of technology, or sometimes just a quiet little spot to rest... and every little thing they find, no matter how small, boom! It sparks some really deep conversations and reflections. One moment they’re fighting over the last ration of food, and the next moment they’re thinking about what a statue means or what an old factory was used for… this is where the series blew my mind, because although the drawings are simple, almost moe, and it has that calm “slice of life” rhythm, “Girls’ Last Tour” delves into philosophical themes that leave you thinking a lot…

We’re talking about life, death, the meaning of everything, what’s up with society, the nature of war, hope, despair… great themes! And all seen by these two girls, who are innocent and curious, and who have no idea what the world was like before, it does it in a super subtle way, right? It’s not like they’re giving you a sermon or it feels forced, it just… makes you think… a lot. The series really invites you to draw your own conclusions about what's happening, and especially about the fates of some of the secondary characters you meet. You're left thinking about them, and that adds to the reflective feeling it leaves you with. One of the most powerful things about this anime, for me, was how it makes you appreciate the little things in everyday life... things we take for granted, you know?

There's an episode, for example, where it starts to rain, and the sound of the drops hitting different things creates a kind of music... Chito and Yuri are mesmerized; it's a super simple moment, but it's shown to you with such wonder and beauty... It makes you look at your own life and find the magic in the ordinary... and the setting, the people! The ruined city is another character; it's gigantic, desolate, and sometimes it crushes you with its vastness, a constant reminder of everything that was lost. But it also has a rare beauty that draws you in. The way the light hits the shattered structures, the silence, that emptiness… it somehow feels even cozy at times, especially when Chito and Yuri find a little spot to spend the night. It's that weird feeling of everything being empty, but at the same time it gives you a sense of calm, and that's key to the series' unique atmosphere.

Miren, la onda de la historia es que va como por capítulos chiquitos, como mini-episodios dentro de su viaje más grande.. seguimos a Chito y Yuri mientras andan explorando estas ruinas gigantes y vacías de la ciudad en su Kettenkrad, que es como una moto con orugas, ¡una locura, súper chévere! Se topan con edificios viejos, pedazos de tecnología, o a veces solo un rinconcito tranqui para descansar.. y cada cosita que encuentran, por más mínima que sea, ¡pum!, dispara unas charlas y unas reflexiones bien profundas. En un momento se están peleando por la última ración de comida, y al toque después están pensando sobre qué significa una estatua o para qué servía una fábrica vieja.. acá es donde la serie, me voló la cabeza, porque aunque el dibujo es sencillito, casi moe, y tiene ese ritmo tranqui de "slice of life", "Girls' Last Tour" se mete con temas filosóficos que te dejan pensando un montón..

Estamos hablando de la vida, la muerte, el sentido de todo, qué onda con la sociedad, la naturaleza de la guerra, la esperanza, la desesperación… ¡temazos! Y todo visto por estas dos chicas, que son inocentes y curiosas, y que no tienen ni idea de cómo era el mundo antes, lo hace de una forma súper sutil, ¿eh? Nada de que te están dando un sermón o se siente forzado, simplemente… te hace pensar.. un montón. La serie de verdad te invita a que saques tus propias conclusiones de lo que está pasando, y sobre todo del destino de algunos personajes secundarios que se cruzan, te quedas pensando en ellos, y eso le suma a esa sensación reflexiva que te deja. Una de las cosas más potentes de este anime, para mí, fue cómo te hace valorar las cosas chiquitas del día a día.. cosas que damos por sentado.

Hay un capítulo, por ejemplo, que se pone a llover, y el sonido de las gotas pegando en diferentes cosas crea como una música.. Chito y Yuri se quedan hipnotizadas, es un momento súper simple, pero te lo muestran con una maravilla y una belleza… Te hace mirar tu propia vida y encontrarle la magia a lo común y corriente.. y el escenario, gente! La ciudad en ruinas es un personaje más, es gigante, está desolada, a veces te aplasta con lo inmensa que es, un recordatorio constante de todo lo que se perdió, pero también tiene una belleza rarísima, que te atrapa. La forma en que la luz pega en las estructuras destrozadas, el silencio, ese vacío… de alguna manera se siente hasta acogedor a veces, sobre todo cuando Chito y Yuri encuentran un lugarcito para pasar la noche. Es esa onda rara de que está todo vacío, pero a la vez te da como una sensación de calma, y eso es clave en la atmósfera única de la serie.

And well, the animation and the drawing style, ugh!, they fit perfectly with this wave... it's not that it's impressive with the effects, but the truth is that it works great to highlight those moments of peace, how enormous the landscapes are and that feeling of emptiness, the designs of the girls are simple, tender, and that makes a really crazy contrast with how screwed up their world is... now, I'll be honest, part of the 3D, especially that of their little ship, is kind of outdated - it's an anime from 2017, so the most demanding people might be a little shocked -. But for me, it was just a detail, it didn't ruin the experience at all... and the music, people! it's a genius, seriously, it was made by Kenichiro Suehiro, the same one from "Re:Zero" and "Golden Kamuy", but this is something else, nothing to do with it... it puts you right in that special atmosphere I was telling you about: sometimes it feels empty but like it's full, desolate but with a touch of hope... beautiful and sad piano melodies, half-angelic choir-like voices, and sometimes just ambient sounds that put you in the right mood.

The opening and ending are also a success, they complement the series of ten... the OP, "Ugoku, Ugoku", is catchy and more lively, showing the fun side of the girls... the ED, "More One Night", is sadder, more thought-provoking... this is not a pure action anime, and luckily, almost no fanservice, thank God! The good thing about it is that it's more relaxed, more like resting for a while... and the script, honestly, is more interesting than you think at first. Maybe you watch an episode and say: "Ah, what a lovely little adventure," but then you're left thinking about the conversations they had and the topics they touched on, kind of superficially... some might tell you that the topics aren't anything new - I mean, stories about finding the good in beautiful things in a world that's already been messed up. But for me, the way they do it and how they show it to you is so unique and so heartfelt that it makes it stand out. It's how they tell the story, that look through Chito and Yuri, that makes it feel new and that hits you hard.

Y bueno, la animación y el estilo de dibujo, ¡uff!, encajan perfecto con esta onda.. no es que sea impresionante con los efectos, pero la verdad que funciona de diez para remarcar esos momentos de paz, lo enormes que son los paisajes y esa sensación de vacío, los diseños de las chicas son sencillitos, tiernos, y eso hace un contraste bien loco con lo jodido que es su mundo.. ahora, les soy sincero, parte del 3D, sobre todo el de su navecita, está medio pasadito de moda –es un anime del 2017, así que a los más exigentes capaz les choca un poco–. Pero para mí, fue un detalle nomás, no me arruinó la experiencia para nada.. y la música, gente! es una genialidad, en serio, la hizo Kenichiro Suehiro, el mismo de "Re:Zero" y "Golden Kamuy", pero esto es otra cosa, nada que ver.. te mete de lleno en esa atmósfera especial que les decía: a veces se siente vacío pero como que está lleno, desolado pero con un toque de esperanza.. unas melodías de piano hermosas y tristes, voces como de coro medio angelicales, y a veces solo sonidos del ambiente que te clavan el ánimo justo.

El opening y el ending también son un acierto, complementan la serie de diez.. el OP, "Ugoku, Ugoku", es pegadizo y más movidito, mostrando el lado divertido de las chicas.. el ED, "More One Night", es más tristón, más para pensar.. este no es un anime de pura acción, y por suerte, casi nada de fanservice, ¡gracias a Dios! Lo bueno que tiene es más tranqui, más para descansar un rato.. y el guion, de verdad, es más interesante de lo que uno piensa al toque, capaz ves un capítulo y decís: "Ah, qué linda aventurita", pero después te quedas pensando con las charlas que tuvieron y los temas que tocaron así, medio por abajo.. algunos te pueden decir que los temas no son nada nuevo –o sea, historias de encontrarle lo bueno a las cosas bonitas en un mundo hecho percha ya vimos–. Pero para mí, la forma en que lo hacen y cómo te lo muestran es tan particular y tan de corazón que lo hace destacar, es cómo te cuenta la historia, esa mirada a través de Chito y Yuri, lo que lo hace sentir nuevo y que te pega fuerte.

Look, if I had to give it a score, I'd give it an 8.5/10... for me, it was that good, a little gem. Now, to be fair, I understand that the calm pace might not be for everyone, it's not a series that's going to hand you the answers on a plate... but what it makes you feel, that philosophical vibe hidden beneath that calm veneer, and the pure beauty of its calm moments... I was totally won over. It's one of those series that stays in your head long after you've finished it, it leaves you thinking, it leaves you reflecting. I honestly didn't expect to be so taken with something that seemed like a simple story of two girls exploring ruins, but it captivated me. It's a series that makes you feel things, makes you think things. If you're looking for something different, something calm but powerful, something that will make you smile and also leave you thinking about life's big questions... watch "Girls' Last Tour." It's an experience that's truly worth it... and well, I hope you enjoyed this review. Take care! Bye!

Miren, si le tengo que poner un puntaje, yo le doy un 8.5/10.. para mí, fue así de bueno, una joyita. Ahora, siendo justos, entiendo que el ritmo tranqui capaz no es para cualquiera, no es una serie que te va a dar las respuestas servidas en bandeja.. pero lo que te hace sentir, esa onda filosófica que tiene escondida bajo esa capa tranqui, y la belleza pura de sus momentos de calma.. a mí me compraron totalmente, es de esas series que se te quedan dando vueltas en la cabeza mucho después de que la terminaste, te deja pensando, te deja reflexionando. Yo, la verdad, no esperaba que me pegara tanto algo que parecía una simple historia de dos chicas explorando ruinas, pero me cautivo, es una serie que te hace sentir cosas, te hace pensar cosas, si andan buscando algo distinto, algo tranqui pero con fuerza, algo que les saque una sonrisa y también los deje pensando en las grandes preguntas de la vida… miren "Girls' Last Tour".
