The Pomeranian Is Always Watching! - Collaboration Piece with CryptoPom

Three brave explorer from a world far away once landed on the Earth because it looked so nice and friendly from outer space. But when they stepped out of their Transgalactic Velocity Inducer (TVI) and saw a strange painting on the wall, they weren't so sure anymore ...

Hey, a new painting with aliens!
But wait, what is that fluffy dog in the background, Ana? That's not really your style!

Yes, that's because it's not by me, but the work of a friend and fellow artist!
I had that fun little idea for a new painting and instantly thought of her and how great her style would fit in there!
I'm a big fan of her work and super proud that a piece that features the two of us does exist now <3

In the NFT-world she's known as "CryptoPom", and she was the first one who reached out to me on my, I don't know, second day on Twitter, when I was still so overwhelmed by the big wide world out there ^^
She invited me to a discord channel that she runs with two friends called NFTHypeSquad. I was so happy, because it's full of artists, mostly new to the space like me, and it was just such a relieve to find out that there are indeed friendly people out there, who I can connect with and share my experiences :)

If you're interested in seeing more of her work (and I would recommend it!) here's the link to her portfolio on Showtime and her Twitter:

This is the first sketch I made for my part of the painting.
The background is a macro photo I took of the concrete stairs outside of the house we're living in.
My idea was quite clear and I soon had what I was looking for :)

The only thing that caused me a bit of a headache was the UFO ... eh, I mean the Transgalactic Velocity Inducer (TVI).
For two days I tried out different looks and colors ^^

I painted in Krita but for the TVI I also experimented with several filters and effects in Affinity Photo until I settled for the version you can see in the last picture below.

We minted "The Pomerian is Always Watching" on Foundation today, if you would like to have a look: https://foundation.app/anafae/the-pomeranian-is-always-watching-26662
:-)

It's a platform on Ethereum where you set a reserve price for a piece and when someone places a bid the auction is opened and runs for 24 hours.
It's actually quite expensive to mint there. Two times the usual gas fees for Ethereum and Foundation charges a 15% service fee on the final sale price.

So I won't do that very often I guess ^^
But somehow I want to try it for this one and I have a bit of Eth left from selling my Mo-pieces a while ago.
Foundation has become quite popular in the NFT-space and maybe I can get some more eyes on my work this way.
Also it must be super exciting to do a 24 hour auction! :D

Well, we'll see how it goes :)
It definitely was a lot of fun to create this piece together with Pom and I love how it turned out!

I would love to do more collaborations in the future, it's such a fun experience to create something with someone else's style in mind. And to have a piece with something from me and from someone who's art I admire is just awesome!

So I hope you like our little alien-pomeranian-picture! <3

This collaboration turned out really cool! I wish you all the best on your auction. I hope they get a nice bidding war going so you can get some attention over there and some ETH too! I also think the TVI turned out quite well. Y'all's idea to use the macro background i think gave it a great vibe! Keep up the awesome work!

Thanks so much! Your comments always make my day <3

I think I wouldn't have dared to put it up on Foundation if it was just me ^^ But with a collaboration piece it's more likely that someone finds it, I think. And starts a bidding war! Yay!

I am happy to help make your day! I would say you have twice the chance if you have 2 artists together on a piece. =) NFT's and Eth can be daunting for sure. I was a launch partner with Maker's Place but i don't do much over there since gas is so high. I probably should have done more when it was cheap.

I did sell a Spider-Man that i drew and a couple of other pieces i minted that turned out to be worth more just because of the jump in Eth value. I am glad your friend is considering getting on board with NFT Showroom here on HIVE. Maybe one day all the Eth folks will realize how much less the gas is on HIVE and have an Exodus on over! =)

Take Care!

Love it and I’m sure it’s gonna make somebody very happy. It already made me smile :<)

Great you two decided to collaborate ob this. A shame she isn’t on Hive though.

Yay, Thank you, I'm glad you like it! She usually doesn't make funny and cute pieces, so this is kind of special ^^

She's not on Hive yet, although I think she wants to start minting on NFT-Showroom too. And I'm trying to create a bit of a portfolio on Eth too to maybe get a few more eyes on my art.
