The old woman who sees giants

in Alien Art Hive4 years ago (edited)

Most of my drawings are born from spots or shadows and for this reason they always look like aliens or look too strange to be around here. In my life I have had many experiences and especially as a child, I've been the cause of laughter for telling things that I had seen. Not that I was traumatized but I did stop telling these things so openly. I remember once I saw a unicorn, it was not flying or had wings, it was a white horse with a white horn on its forehead. I was in a field, I approached and I saw it perfectly. No one ever believed me and they laughed at me for weeks.
It's not that I draw things that I've seen but that I'm sure that if I draw them it's because they exist, even if they are born from a random stain.
This work started with some ink and alcohol stains and then I used oxide that I had collected previously and filled almost all the paper. From this abstract image this story began to be born. The first thing I saw was that foot inside a bag or boot and then everything started appearing little by little.

The plight of life as a creative is that we all DO see things that don't exist as yet ... people who are comfortable with the way they believe life is will ridicule and silence those who see more because more is only a threat to those who are already comfortable ... but you have come to a good place in Alien Art Hive. Well done ... and that's a very handsome giant!

Thank you 💗

oh wow, seeing things might be scary! I don't think I'll be as brave as you are. I had strange dream lastnight where I saw a mutation of frog and lizard. It really was a strange dream.

I have seen things and I have been scared and I have felt (and not seen) and I've also been scared. That Is normal because one is scared by the unknown, still. I prefer to see!

I remember this quote from Dan Brown;

We fear what we do not understand.
― Dan Brown, The Da Vinci Code

I'll muster up the courage then. I tend to have nightmares and have little control over it. While I think, I can control those dreams because many times, I am very aware that I am dreaming.

That's true.
Start to face whatever appears. You know nothing ever happens, I mean: did something ever happen to you? Surely not, it's just fear. What would be the worst? That a hideous monster appeared?

Yeah, nothing harmful happened. When I meditate/before sleep sometimes I could see hideous faces which could be my imagination. Thanks for giving me extra courage boost!

:))
I have seen those faces many times! since I can remember. And I have seen things with open eyes, things that are not something that exists or has a name ... but nothing ever happened, it's just seeing. The moment before falling asleep is something important in many traditions, religions, movements, it must be used in favor and without fear. Face whatever it is and you should know that you have the power!

why so serious kid...wonderful expression and a great job. Love it.😀
