The Lotus Sūtra is one of the most influential and venerated Buddhist Mahāyāna sūtras.
It is the main scripture on which the Tiantai, Tendai, Cheontae, and Nichiren schools of Buddhism were established.

O Lotus Sūtra é um dos mais influentes e venerados sutras budistas Mahayana.
É a principal escritura na qual as escolas de budismo Tiantai, Tendai, Cheontae e Nichiren foram estabelecidas.
Também é influente para outras escolas budistas do leste asiático, como o Zen.
